This was probably the most beautiful place on the island! Our deck overlooked the ocean and you could even see Moai from there! The staff was so wonderful and everyone made our stay perfect!

The hotel was clean and very tidy. It sits right in front of the ocean and in front of one of the few public moai sites. It is incredible to watch the sunsets there. When I had questions or issues, the office was relatively quick to respond. The showers on the island have heaters. So I turned the pressure down on the shower a bit to make the hot water last longer. It takes about two minutes for hot water to return once it is used up. This hotel is one of the nicest within walking distance of downtown and I learned from other travelers I met that my hot water concern is common across the island to converse water. The listing says laundry facilities, but these are a mile away and not on site. I am definitely planning to stay at this hotel again the next time I come. It was convenient to walk to from downtown and all the tour groups picked me up and dropped me off there. The restaurant closest to the hotel is literally the best one on the island. Food prices are similar to USA prices but the portions are huge and the food quality is superb. I really enjoyed my time.

Cabanas Anavai - Dreamlike Location!

Can’t find a more idyllic location on Rapa Nui! The Pacific Ocean is literally across the roadway - great views from the cabin bedrooms and balcony on the top floor. Just a few hundred feet walk from the Ahu Tahai moai. In the heart of Hanga Roa with many shops and places to eat within a relatively short walk. Very quiet area where you can regularly see horses roaming free. Also common to find stray dogs roaming about, but they seem very well-behaved. I’d suggest bringing earplugs if you’re a light-sleeper and not used to dogs barking at night. Cabin itself is very spacious, comfortable, and outfitted with basic kitchen appliances and dishware. One TV located in the common area. Beds were okay. Clean cabin, but could use some more attention to maintenance and updating - bathrooms were pretty outdated, minimal counter space and hooks, fixtures were “sticky” to operate, and the shower enclosures tended to leak a bit. Despite these minor issues, cabin was enjoyable. Miti was a great host. She picked us up at the airport, was friendly, and made some helpful suggestions for activities and dining. Strongly recommend staying at these cabins!

Fantastic stay!

Staying at the Cabañas Anavai really elevated my trip to Rapa Nui. My front door opened practical on to the beach, and I had a gorgeous view of the sunset every day. The people were so nice and so accommodating, and even picked me up from the airport without a transfer fee. The room was comfortable and clean - and I would absolutely stay again.

Must Stay on Easter Island

Odette took amazing care of us. Organized shuttles to pick up from and return to the airport, as well as getting us tickets to the local cultural ballet and arranging for our rental car. Amazing place to stay on the west side of the island right on the ocean.

Nice view

The cottage has a stunning view, you can actually see some of the most famous Moai from the room. The cottage is spacious, clean, and people are nice. The hot water heater malfunctioned one night, so there was no hot water for a night. Most activities on Easter Island are outdoor, it would be great if you could take a hot shower after those outdoor adventures. Having that said, they immediately offered help, though the heater could not be fixed till the morning. Moreover, some issues are worth mentioning. The road to the house is a bit bumpy, and wifi is slooooooooooooooow, and we experienced power outage (for the area, not just the hotel) every other day. These are NOT the issue of the hotel, they are just common on Easter Island I suppose.
