    Chile Hotel Travel Guide

The country of Chile is huge covering over half of the South American coast. It is a top destination for many adventurous backpackers who are lured by the area's breathtaking landscape and challenging trekking opportunities. Chile has a little bit of everything, including deserts, forests, glaciers, volcanoes, beaches, and even islands. In fact, Chile is perhaps best known for Easter Island, a mysterious place filled with hundreds of ancient statues. These statues were created by the Rapi Nui, the early inhabitants of the island.

    Lifestyle in Chile

Chilean culture tends to be more representative of European countries versus other parts of South America due to the large numberof European immigrants and the influences of Catholicism. It is a generally pleasant country with a strong infrastructure and a welcoming attitude toward tourism. Spanish is the primary spoken language, and the peso is the currency.

    Find Quality Hotels While Traveling

A traveler can usually get by on $25 per day while living comfortably, but these prices can be lowered by seeking reservations at cheap Chile hotels, youth hostels, and other discount rooms. Special rates can sometimes be found if you book Chile hotel packages before you arrive, but make sure you check ratings and talk to other travelers. A cheap Chile hotel deal is only as good as the hotel itself, and you don't want to end up with bed bugs!

Delicious Chilean Food That You Won't Want to Miss

If you love to wine and dine, then Chile is the place for you. The country offers a wide variety of delicious cuisine, from seafood and pork dishes to the finest of fruits and vegetables. The seasoning tends to be hearty and flavorful, but not hot and spicy like Mexican cuisine. Many hotels in Chile feature restaurants that offer all of the delicious food and wine you enjoy.

    Finding Your Way Around

Thanks to all of the cheap hotel deals in Chile, you should have more money to travel around the country. Bus is the typical method of transportation, although you can also travel by plane or even boat. The bus system is known for being particularly good when compared to many other countries, but the quality of the transit experience will vary from company to company. When searching for Chile hotel deals, be sure to research nearby bus stations, airports, and seaports to help make travel easier.

    "Great locations in Las Condes"
The size of the room was generous. The restaurant was good, excellent service, breakfast choice was sufficient. I never used the kitchen and refrigerator in my room. The bed was a bit soft. The bathroom was a bit small but enough for my needs. The hotel does not have square, face-washing towels that I feel are necessary when taking showers. They only had the hand towels and the big towels. The hand towels are too large for using in the shower to wash my face and body.

    "Excellent location and service"
Totally exceeded my expectations. The location and level of service is just great. It's located in the financial district, in front of the Costanera Center shopping mall. Just four blocks away from Isidora Goyenechea street, which has a lot of really nice restaurants. Easy access to the Costanera Norte highway.

If you build a hotel on the rocks at edge of a cliff why would you put the pool 10 feet above sea level. This problem occurs all the time. Hotel needs along term solution

"Historic building at heart of historic Valparaiso"
We loved this hotel - a beautiful restored historic building located within walking distance of the best of everything that historic Valparaiso has to offer. The interior is stunning - original wooden floors, ceilings etc. Includes a rooftop terrace where we relaxed in the late afternoon/evening. I particularly want to comment on our experience with reception staff. They were super friendly and helpful - during check-in, and assisting with advice and organising cars and taxis for day trips and to the airport.

"Organized comfort in a spectacular setting"
The hotel is one of only a few high-end hotels serving tourists to the Atacama Desert. The desert is an enormous attraction, uniquely beautiful, large and various. The hotel offers many excursions to different spots in and near the desert, at different times of the day (sunrise, sunset) and requiring different levels of physical exertion. The staff organizing these are well-informed and very helpful. The rooms are large, well-appointed, and comfortable. The food is as varied as it can be, given the need to bring all food into the hotel from areas distant to it. And the wine was excellent. The cost of staying is very high -- ameliorated a bit by the all-you-an eat, all-you-can drink, all-you-can see policies. But it seemed worth it to my wife and me. Internet access is spotty in the evening, but that shouldn't be a big deal.

"Nice pool, nice room, great cookie"
Check in staff were very friendly and we received our complimentary cookies which were very nice, we did want to ask for more. We were really looking forward to ordering room service but there were no vegetarian options at all, so this was a real let down, the restaurant was also very limited for vegetarian options but we did find the shopping mall nearby to get some food. The room was nice, spacious and the bed was comfortable. The pool was very nice to swim in. The casino is attached and is okay for a visit. We made the mistake of thinking breakfast was included in our room rate, but this was at an additional charge. If were aware of this we would not have eaten the breakfast as it was quite average, with bad coffee. The business center is a joke, and consists of a single computer and printer. I tried to do some printing and a young girl was watching youtube videos on the computer, I had to ask her to borrow the computer to do my printing. The printer was out of paper and I had to ask for more paper and the reception staff seemed reluctant to provide more paper - I don't mind paying for printing but if this is a hotel service then it should be done properly (and monitored so people are not wasting time on the one business center computer). The wifi was not very good. The doormen were friendly and professional.

    "Hotel with a beautiful view"
The hotel is located outside the town so it is quiet and it is surrounded by green areas. It has a very nice pool and area to sit outdoors. The view to the mountains is fantastic. The reservation included dinner, but this was very disappointing. In the first place there is no door between the kitchen and the dining area so you hear everything that happens in the kitchen and unfortunately the cook likes listening to bad music very loud and sing along, this combined with the music for the dining area is just stressful. We asked if the kitchen could turn down the volume of the music and received a: "really?". Dinner was not good, we all had salmon with rice and tomatoes, and the rice was without any salt, we got uneven salmon portions (my son had a normal sized piece, me a much smaller piece than him and my husband seems to have received what was left over: three very tiny pieces from different cuts ..), and only my son got tomatoes on the side.... Breakfast was a loud experience again, I had to ask one more time if the volume of the kitchen music could be lowered ....
