Beautifully converted stable on a working farm, complete privacy looking out on to woods and farmland. Two bedrooms, double with en suite shower and toilet, and twin, separate bathroom with bath. Well equipped kitchen and spacious living/ dining room with wood stove. Lounge/dining area opens the length of the room on to south facing elevated terrace with three sets trifold doors. TV in lounge and double bedroom.
Linen and towels provided, cot and high chair on request.

Had an absolutely amazing time at this beautiful little cottage. Jan and Nick provide everything you could possibly need. Lovely and clean. A real home from home. Set in the heart of the countryside, it provides peace and tranquility, with regular visits to the hanging feeders from a host of birds. Would recommend to anyone wanting a quiet getaway. Thank you.

Peaceful Retreat

This was our second stay at the Stable and this time we took two very good friends with us. They wanted a relaxing holiday and the property fitted the bill in every way. We all enjoyed a wonderful stay.

Lovely stay

Lovely area, plenty of wildlife to see. Bigger than it looked in the photos. Named the woodpeckers Ronnie and Reggie as they chased the other birds off. 😁 Will definitely look to stay again when back in this area.

Our third visit - we love the peace and tranquillity here and spend much time watching the wild birds coming to take peanuts from the feeders. The accommodation is excellent, comfortable and well equipped and with a lot of character.

Everything you could ask for, clean tidy, comfortable, welcoming , complete peace and quiet, great sitting watching the birds on the feeders, walking down to the bluebell wood, great hosts no wonder we keep going back

Perfect Spot for Rest & Relaxation

Absolutely delightful in every way - hosts engaging, property exactly as described and very homely, location just want we wanted in terms of getting away from it all and the added bonus of cows who always seemed pleased to see us. Thanks to our hosts for setting up the wood burner which was an absolute treat - much needed after a very muddy walk in the woods!. Will definitely be looking to visit again.

Fabulous stay with great hosts

Great stay in this wonderful, quiet cozy property on a farm. As birders, it was great to see a variety of birds land on the feeders outside of the window and to cozy up with wine after cooking a meal in the kitchen, which has everything you need. Jan and Nick were both very helpful and welcoming and they were perfect hosts. This is our second stay here and it won't be our last!

A beautiful and secluded retreat in the gorgeous Sussex countryside

We had a lovely stay at The Stables. The property is very comfortable, clean, and stylish in design. Lots of interesting history to the area. The hosts are great and extremely helpful and we arrived to snacks and a complimentary bottle of wine. We really enjoyed watching the wildlife which included a range of birds, bunnies, squirrels and the odd badger. Very reasonably priced and we would thoroughly recommend. Thank you!

Lovely break@ The Stables.

Great to be back@The Stables. Comfortable & peaceful place to come back to after our walks everyday. Extra bonus this time of spotting the woodpecker as well as the nuthatch & a grey wagtail. We also had a great Sunday roasts at a local pub recommended by Jan. Thanks again. Happily come back again!

We had a fantastic stay in the Stables. The cottage was very clean and well equipped. There were two bedrooms, one with two single beds and the other with a double bed. This one had also an additional en-suite bathroom. Very nice. The kitchen, dining room and lounge were all proper sized. There were some games and duplo for the children and some dvds.The cottage lies in a very calm area on a farm surrounded by fields and woods were you can do some very nice walks.There is a nice patio where you can enjoy the evenings or you just leave the patio doors open to have an outside-feel in the dining room. We liked this very much.There are horses, guinea pigs and much things to explore for the children.The next pub is only 10 minutes by foot through the woods, but you need a car to reach the next bigger supermarket. I recommend the one in Rye.Going to the cottage can be a bit tricky, when you are not used to single road lanes, especially in the summer when the fern grows. I recommend driving from the south. The way is a bit longer, but the single track road is much shorter.All in all we really enjoyed our stay and did notiss anything. Also the hosts were really friendly and helpfull.

We had a wonderful stay! The accommodation is lovingly and cozily furnished, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere. There is an additional garden on the property—not directly next to the holiday home, but part of the beautiful farmstead. It features flower beds and seating areas, and guests are welcome to enjoy it. It's especially exciting for children, with plenty of space and play opportunities throughout the grounds.The hosts are incredibly friendly and welcoming.
