The room was light and airy,bed comfortable and the bathroom well equipped. The optional evening meal was very good...we chose from the 'specials'. The breakfast menu was extensive and service was timely...given that there were a lot of guests to serve. Excellent service from every member of staff we met - all showed great willingness to help and prompt responses to requests and enquiries was the norm. Food and food service also excellent - we ate in the bed in the evening and enjoyed the atmosphere as well as the food. Cleanliness and decorative standards could be improved and room comfort would have been improved with the addition of an easy chair or two. Bed fantastically comfortable and huge. The rooms were in dire need of an update but functioned as they should except for little things like the hangers being much too high and difficult to reach. As it was out on it's own we ate there each evening.
