Centrally located home 4 minutes from Aitch Boat Launch & Fishing Pier on Raystown Lake and 15 minutes to Downtown Historic Huntingdon and shopping. First floor features a queen bedroom and full bathroom. Second floor features a queen bedroom, a double twin bedroom, and a half bathroom. Relax outside on the covered deck or hang by the fire ring for a campfire and s'mores!

The local area is filled with outdoor activities like hiking, boating, fishing, mountain biking and tons more. But for those the days with rain, the home is filled with games for all ages.

Perfect for Family Getaway
We had a wonderful stay! The property is beautiful and has a lovely porch. The beds were super comfortable and we all slept well. Very clean and the kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed to cook. We would definitely stay again next time we are in Raystown.

Great Escape Between the Holidays
Rented between Christmas and New Years. Quick response on all our questions. Cabin was well equipped with all that you need in the kitchen along with towels & linens. Fireplace with wood provided a nice bonus. Could use some lighting over the dining table. All in all enjoyed our stay here. Recommend staying here.

Very close to Aitch boat ramp. Easy access to basement to store our fishing equipment and bikes If towing put in towing gear depending on weight of your boat.

Perfect!!
This property was perfect for a girl’s weekend away! It is such a beautiful little house and there are so many fun things to do! We enjoyed relaxing out on the covered porch and made s’mores in the campfire. Enjoyed breakfast at Mamies in Martinsburg and dinner on a cruise on The Proud Mary around Raystown Lake. Thank you for hosting our group for a weekend we won’t ever forget!

Great experience!
Raystown is becoming a yearly tradition for our family and this property was above our expectations. Traveling with a 1 year old is never an easy task and they made it a smooth process with a high chair and all! My son had all the room in the yard to run around and play. The house had just about everything that we needed and the cleanliness was pristine. Close enough to the water where my husband could leave and go fishing before we would even wake up.

Peaceful long weekend in the mountains
The cottage was immaculate and just as it appears in the pictures. Check in and communication with the owner were a breeze. We had A LOT of rain while we were there however you could sit on the covered porch untouched by the weather, which was really nice. Home was stocked with the basic necessities (hand soap, toilet paper etc) and the kitchen was fully stocked with everything you could need. There were games for outside and inside. Beds were comfortable and there were extra blankets and sheets. Bathroom was clean and had plenty of towels. I would suggest instructions for the shower because it took us a bit to figure out how to change it from bath to shower. We have stayed in the area a few times now since our daughter is attending college nearby and it is just gorgeous. The house had great views of the mountains and I saw a deer and some other small animals while drinking my morning coffee on the porch. My family really enjoyed our stay and hope to be back soon.

Lake house
We had a long weekend at the lake house near Raystown. We have stayed in the area several times before. The home was beautiful , clean, and well stocked. The cabin was beautifully appointed and beds super comfy! We enjoyed the views including a double rainbow in the distant valley. The porch was perfect for visiting with family. Communication was immediate with the homeowners . I couldn't think of a better place to spend a birthday weekend. I wouldn't hesitate to return!

This was great place to stay in between boat runs. Just 15 minutes from the Tatman Run boat launch. Plenty of room for 6 guys and a boat in the driveway.

Quiet neighborhood, beautiful home, close to lake
We can't say enough about this beautiful home (and owners) close to the lake. It's quiet location and closeness to the lake are perfect! This home is equipped with everything. You need only your personal belongings when staying at the Grouse Cottage. They even have outdoor and indoor games to keep you busy when not at the lake. We had some issues with the hot water when we arrived. Alexis and her husband were absolutely wonderful and very quick to resolve the issue. They were very respective of our privacy when entering the home to resolve the issue. We can't wait to book this cozy cottage again and bring our kids and grand-daughter on our next trip!
