My experience was mixed. To be fair, I expected (and received) a no frills budget experience given the premium prices in the surrounding area. But check-in was seriously flawed, there was no sense that I had a reservation and in busier times I don’t doubt my room would have been resold. Room #1 reeked of smoke - smoke or damp smells are not uncommon for old motels but this was on the strong side. No garbage can in the room or in the bathroom, which is ridiculous for anyone but especially for feminine hygiene. If I ever return I would definitely call ahead multiple times to validate my room is still available.

When got to assiged room, was already occupied. Then for heat/cool. the unit was hard to control and was very loud

The room was fine, as was the check-in. The outside area could be improved.

My family and I stayed here for a night during HOF weekend and thought it was great. The location was perfect, check-in went very smoothly and the front desk worker offered valuable advice. We were also able to access the Lakehouse area, which was beautiful. My son and I played catch next to the lake in a spacious grassy area and the atmosphere added to the experience. As for the room, it was cozy, but clean and all three beds had firm mattresses, and we were pleasantly surprised to find they had a television for my son when we made it back with all of the subscription channels available if you were a member of them. All in all, this place deserves better reviews than the ones I read prior to coming here and I hope this review helps future guests choose this as the place for them to stay.
