Overall, our stay was decent, but there were some noticeable positives and negatives.
The biggest disappointment was the front desk clerk, who may have been the owner. He came across as rude and unwelcoming, which made for a poor first impression. In contrast, the rest of the staff—especially the breakfast team—were friendly, polite, and genuinely helpful throughout our stay.
The lobby and other common areas had a very strong odor of marijuana mixed with what smelled like a sewer or other unpleasant smell. It was noticeable every time we walked through and definitely detracted from the overall experience.
On the positive side, the breakfast exceeded expectations. There was a great selection, including biscuits and gravy, sausage, bacon, and other hot items. Our room was clean, and the air conditioning worked exceptionally well, keeping the room comfortable.
If the management addressed the odors in the common areas and improved the customer service at the front desk, this would be a much better place to stay.
