Welcome to Red Mesa Ranch! Come get away from it all! Located within a short driving distance of the National parks - Zion National Park, Bryce Canyon, the Grand Canyon, and so many more amazing outdoor adventures. A peaceful retreat at the end of your days adventures.
Just 8 miles east of Kanab (10 Minutes from town) on 5 acres surrounded by stunning views and open space in every direction. Cozy and comfortable spaces, with a fully stocked kitchen, and many upgrades.
Wake up to fresh local coffee at sunrise on the porch, then you can gather friends & family together in the evening on the patio to enjoy some Chill n' and Grill n' while enjoying the sunset over the Mesa. Be sure and experience our dark skies, perfect for stargazing around the firepit by night.

There is access to hiking, ATV, and horse trails right from the property, as well as the new Tilted Mesa bike and hiking trails just a mile from the house!

We have a large parking area on site, with lots of room for you to bring your toys, and are less than a 1/4 mile from Johnson canyon recreation area with endless trails.
Equine facilities are available for your horses - A short distance to Buckskin Gulch slot canyon, Bryce Canyon, and the Kaibab National forest, Near the Grand Canyon.

We do have a welcoming committee...Our 2 dogs will bark, but are both friendly and like to play. You are welcome to visit the horses and goats as well.

There are outside security cameras on the property at the entrances, and the driveway.

Fabulous family vacation
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Julie & Jim’s. Their home is meticulously appointed and spotless. The beds were comfortable and the pantry/bathrooms were flush with all that we needed. We loved having the horses, dogs and goats to visit with. Highly recommend when in the area. Thank you for helping to make our vacation fabulous!!

This property is clean, well-maintained and has a stunning view. The owners provided personal touches like snacks and suggestions of things to do in the area. The horses, goats, and dogs were also fun to interact with and were an added bonus. I would definitely stay at this property again!

Nicest house we’ve ever rented
Sometimes these places come across great in photos but are not quite as pristine in person. not so with this home. It was gorgeous! Every detail is thought out to perfection and every need anticipated. Very clean. We stayed over Christmas and Julie had the place decorated so nicely which our kids loved. Comfortable beds. We loved the animals and visiting with the owners. We visited Grand Canyon, Bruce canyon, and Zion during our visit and also took advantage of some local kanab attractions. Loved it and would stay again and recommend to anyone looking for a place to stay.

We had an unforgettable stay in this beautiful house in Kanab, Utah! Our party of 8 couldn't have been more pleased with the experience. The property exceeded our expectations in every way. The location was perfect, offering breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape. The house itself was spacious, clean, and well-maintained. It provided all the amenities we needed for a comfortable and relaxing stay. The highlight for us was the spacious kitchen and living area, which made it easy for our group to come together for meals and quality time. The bedrooms were comfortable, and everyone had their own space. Kanab is a fantastic base for exploring the stunning natural wonders of Utah, and this house was the ideal home away from home during our adventures. We enjoyed hikes in the nearby canyons, starry nights, and the tranquility of the area. The communication with the property owner or manager was excellent, and they were always ready to assist with any questions or requests. We loved their horses, goats and puppies too. Perfect views and location
This house exceeds 5 stars. It is immaculately clean and well situated for daytime activities. We easily went to Bryce, Zion, Horseshoe Bend, and North Rim of Grand Canyon. Jim and Julie are wonderful hosts. They do respect your privacy but are happy to visit if you wish. You will feel secluded yet secure knowing the host is close by in case something happens with the house. I found it comforting that the host is near because I knew any problems that may arise would be immediately addressed. With that said, we had no problem whatsoever. I would stay there again without any hesitation. Thanks Jim and Julie. 5++ stars!!

Perfect Location, Property, and Hosts
This place was perfect. Perfect location - Zion, Bryce Canyon, North Rim, and Lake Powell all within an hour to an hour and a half. Kanab has a lot to offer as well. Perfect house and property. Beautiful home with no detail overlooked, on a great lot with awesome views. Horses, dogs, and goats on the ranch that make it feel more like home. Perfect hosts. Julie and Jim were friendly, accommodating, and helpful with recommendations for sights to see in the area. If we ever make it back to Utah we will certainly stay here again.

National Parks checklist
We came to UT for our daughter’s high school graduation trip. There were 7 of us (2 parents and 5 kids ages 15-21). Our stay could not have been more perfect. I was convinced we would miss not having a pool or hot tub but I was wrong. The front porch was perfect for coffee and the sunrise. The back porch was where we played table games. Corn hole was great too! But allllll the touches inside are what made it special. The note and gift for my daughter in honor of her graduation, the snacks and coffee, the shampoos and soaps…. The house was immaculate and the beds were comfy. My son played Xbox without one complaint about the WiFi! It was the perfect location for trips to the Grand Canyon, Lake Powell, Bryce Canyon, Zion and a few local spots. We loved coffee at Taro in Kanab. The grocery stores are a bit limited but they had what we needed. Couldn’t recommend this house more! Truly was a perfect place to call home base for a week.

Perfect!
This property is exactly as presented online. It was super clean and fit our needs perfectly. We felt at ease and at home! The home is wonderfully put together and well thought out. The backyard view is beautiful! The house is a short trip into town (Kanab) and nicely situated for day trips to Zion, Bryce, and all that the area has to offer. We loved this little piece of heaven and can’t wait to return!

Our stay was SPECTACULAR!!!
This stay feels like your home not landing somewhere temporary. Hosts are very sweet, the home is very clean, beautifully themed decorations, and a great location right in the middle of all the national parks. Also, great things to sight see and hike in Kanab. We can’t say enough how nice it was and how much we thoroughly enjoyed this house. Your stay can make or break your experience of vacation and this one will not disappoint!

Perfect in every way!
We had a party of 6 and this home was amazing. Enough room for everyone. The location was perfect for us for what was on our agenda. The views were beautiful Julie couldn't have been any more hospitable. From the welcome sign out front to the fully stocked coffee bar. Extra chairs for relaxing on the front porch. We LOVED Red Mesa Ranch!!!
Red Mesa Ranch was base camp for our Southern Utah/Northern Arizona week of adventures. There were seven of us, from 28 to 60. The location is ideal - off the beaten path just enough, yet only a ten minute drive to downtown Kanab for great food and any other necessities. 45 minutes to Zion, 1 1/2 hours to Bryce Canyon and an hour to Page, AZ. Julie and Jim have done an incredible job making the home so warm and welcoming - right down to the personalized sign when we arrived! They've thought of everything. The house is beautiful inside and out, has nice furnishings and very comfortable beds. It's well-stocked with toiletries, paper products, laundry and dishwasher detergents, spices, games, Corn Hole and SO much more. I can't express how comfortable we all were and how much we all loved spending time together there after a long day of hiking and exploring. We enjoyed it so much we opted to spend one of our days hanging out, playing corn hole, meeting the owners' horses and dogs, cooking, etc. Thank you Julie and Jim - it was a privilege staying at your place. It played a big part in our awesome week in Kanab!

This property is amazing!!! We stayed here with another couple and our 2 18yo sons. The owner provided everything from toiletries to spices for cooking. They were very responsive to questions or needs. I needed help with the TV when everyone was gone hiking and he had us fixed within 15min. Close to so many parks. Make sure you visit the tribal arts store in Freedonia. They have a wonderful variety of local jewelry and arts. We are looking forward to staying here again!! Thank you Julie and Jim!!

National Parks trip
The property was beautiful inside and out. There were 5 in our group. We drove to different parks during the day and returned at night. We loved sitting around the fireplace and relaxing. Beds were so comfortable and room for all. Close to Kanab for dining and shopping. Could not have enjoyed it more.

Get Away with the Grandbabies
We really enjoyed our stay at thus beautiful home in the wide expanse of the old Western Film landscape. Kanab is a great getaway with all kinds of outdoor activities. This home has large spaces for sleeping and gathering both inside and out. The home simply and beautifully decorated with all the basics covered. Enjoy!

We were 2 families with 4 kids, aged 10-16, and this place was amazing. Everyone had their own space and it was the perfect home base for exploring the area. It had everything we needed for stay. Perfect in every way
This home is decorated so tastefully — attractive yet comfortable. Layout is perfect for families, or a few couples. Everything in the house was clean and functioning. The owners thought of every detail. Location is perfect — a quick drive into town, but far enough away to feel somewhat secluded. So many stars at night, and gorgeous red mountains out the back are always in view. The hosts are delightful. We took pictures with the horses, which delighted our daughter. Can’t say enough good about this property or the owners. We will surely return.

Perfect location for an EPIC Utah adventure
The home was well appointed for multiple adult couples and a few singles to stay together as a Base Camp for the most incredible sights and hikes of Southern Utah. It is in the Geofence area for Coyote Buttes North (The Wave) daily permit lottery. It was an easy drive to Antelope Canyon, Horseshoe Bend, Lake Powell, North Rim of The Grand Canyon, Buckskin Gulch slot canyon, Zion National Park, Bryce National Park and many more, but that's all we had time for this week. The home is close enough to Kanab to grab groceries or go out for meals. The views directly from the home were incredible as we enjoyed the outdoor space to watch the sunset, sunrise, or the stars which could be viewed in High definition. There was plenty of space for people to have quiet time alone, or large gathering central space in the center of the home. We had everything we needed to cook full meals inside or out. The automatic light at the corner of the house was a great addition for safety and convenience to light up the walk upon arrival after a long day of hiking. We definitely recommend this clean well set up home for your EPIC Southern Utah adventure.

A dream vacation come true Kanab
Our stay at the Red Mesa Ranch was absolutely perfect! The house was the most beautiful house we have ever seen, let alone stayed in. We were so happy to have had the opportunity to elope and spend our first days of our new adventure as husband and wife here. We could rave for days about our stay, but here were some of our favorite things: - Watching the sunrise on the front porch and sunset over the red mesa - Looking out to see the horses - Beautiful views outside every window - Plenty of room to store things - Impeccable landscaping - Plenty of space for parking - Beautiful decor and thoughtful touches throughout the home - The owners were so kind and even allowed us to take photos with Kit and Stetson (the horses) on our wedding day. Kanab is incredible, the Red Mesa Ranch is even more incredible, and it will forever be etched in our memory. We can’t wait to come back soon :)
