  • Nestled in Kerrville, this delightful house boasts 3 bedrooms - one with a king bed and two with bunk beds. With 2 bathrooms featuring showers, guests can freshen up after a day of exploring. The property offers WiFi, heating, AC, and a washing machine for convenience. There is a large yard and large patio with breathtaking sun sets. Kickback, relax, and enjoy everything Kerrville and our house has to offer. Please note there is a $50 fee for pets.

The home is comfortable and has everything you need for a great stay. Loved the yard and back porch too. Wished we would have had more time to enjoy the hot tub.

We had a wonderful stay! The house was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed. The location was perfect and so convenient for the wedding we were attending, making it easy to get to and from the venue. Our only suggestion would be to keep the property mowed a little more regularly, as the tall grass made the stickers (burrs) pretty bad. Other than that, we had a great experience and would definitely stay here again!

Beautiful quiet location

Great house with lots of nature and beautiful sunrises and sunsets. Close to town, but far enough away for peace and quiet. The place is well decorated with good amenities, we enjoyed our stay.

The property was large enough, clean, well furnished and gated. We enjoyed seeing wild life in the area, especially the abundant deer. Everything was in very good working condition. The neighbors were friendly and quiet. All in all it was a great trip.

Excellent

Absolutely perfect, and the drive isJust a hop and a skip. Kitchen well stocked, plus a large selection of coffee. There is hot tub, grill and a nice patio area. It’s fenced and even has an automatic gate. When we come back, we will definitely check here first.

Meant to Be

From the moment we checked in late one evening, I knew our review would be 5 stars. The home is impeccably clean, beautifully appointed while also being cozy and comfortable, and the surrounding property is just gorgeous. If you’re looking to take in a breathtaking Hill Country sunset while grilling dinner and enjoying a cold drink in an outdoor hot tub, look no further. You will not find a better place to stay within a scenic drive to all the area has to offer. It was the perfect place for our family to rest while visiting friends in the area. What happened after our check in makes me wish I could give 100 more stars to our incredible hosts. Within mere hours of our arrival on 4th of July weekend, one of the greatest tragedies we have ever witnessed in our lifetimes was unfolding. Completely dry and safe in the house, we heard as our dear friends and so many others were desperately escaping raging flood waters below. We could not get past the creeks to help anyone or get groceries or water for our family of 6 plus the dog. Our gracious hosts shared their own fridge and freezer stock and made sure we all had enough food and water for days, and everything else necessary to function when the entire area lost power after the floods. We could not have felt more blessed to wind up exactly where we were when we made our last minute plans to visit the Hill Country for the holiday weekend. This weekend will be indelibly etched in our memories and we are forever grateful.

The location, though out of town, is not inconvenient. There is a pleasant drive up to it from Kerrville which is actually quite scenic and relaxing. Though there are some low spots where roads may flood temporarily, there is more than one path for ingress and egress so this should not be an issue. Conversely, being out of town and beyond the suburbs means it is cooler (less asphalt and buildings to retain heat even compared to the suburbs). Likewise, the extra altitude (2090 ft vs 1600 ft in town) in this location (up the hill from turtle creek) provides further relief from the summer heat and allows better air circulation which also contributes considerably to comfort if outdoors in the summer. The house itself is spacious with a large kitchen and eating area so people are less apt to trip on each other. It is also quite comfortable both as to beds and furniture. Having spent several weeks this summer at various AB&B places, the couches here were the first that were actually something I would buy for my own home. Outside there is plenty of yard between neighbors and it's a quiet area with little to no traffic (dead end streets beyond the property) which is good for stargazing. Expansive views off the covered back porch, likely more enjoyable in months other than August as the hot tub (even though covered) causes higher humidity in this covered area. One can also enjoy sunsets from the front yard off to left of the house without obstructing buildings.

We stayed here due to having a family wedding in Kerrville. We had 6 people that stayed with us including a toddler and it had more than ample room for everyone! Everything was so clean and homey! We loved the quiet atmosphere and watching the sunset/sunrise on the patio! My 2 year old really enjoyed the hot tub as well! Will definitely stay here again!

I truly enjoyed my 28 day stay at "The Cabin" Spacious interior and outdoor layout it had everything I needed for an extended stay. As mentioned the view and calmness of the outdoor area is great and very relaxing, with rarely a vehicle going by just nice and quite. I also enjoyed the location being a few miles outside of Kerrville. The host was quick to respond and I would not hesitate to stay here again.
