Walk southwest for half an hour, passing the Gardens Mall and the TM Convention Centre, to reach the Menara Telekom. The skyscraper is 1,017 feet (310 meters) tall and contains a large theater and prayer hall.

Explore the residential neighborhoods of Bangsar for a glimpse of how some of the wealthiest Kuala Lumpur local residents live. The undulating Taman Bukit Pantai zone is lined with upscale bungalows, while the Bangsar Park community is flat and tranquil. Head east through the Little India section and learn about the country’s history in the National Museum of Malaysia.

Find Bangsar a little southwest of the center of Kuala Lumpur. Ride the train to Bangsar Station or the main transportation hub of Kuala Lumpur Sentral Station. Consider taking a bus to one of the many stops in the zone. Explore the surroundings and enter other nearby districts such as Brickfields, Bukit Damansara and Kampung Attap.
