“Everything is as promised and we enjoyed the house. Enjoyed talking with Tanya and Jasper and one of the chickens visited us on the balcony. We also enjoyed walking by the creek.It is on the list of properties we want to come back to next year. ”

“The property was great to stay at and the owners were amazing as well. It was just a short drive to everything from hiking to ice cream on Pearl Street in La Crosse. Would definitely stay here again!”

“Cozy comfortable cabin with a fabulous view off of the patio. This was perfect for my wife and I. We spent a lot of time outside reading and relaxing. The bucolic setting was offset by plenty of activity within a half hour. We hiked, biked, and kayaked. The cabin is clean and comfortable. Definitely a 5 star stay. ”

“Very comfortable and well stocked home. Lovely view of the river. Enjoyed watching the boats and barges and listening to the trains. (House was very quiet) The screen porch was fantastic ”

“Very clean, eclectic cute cabin! We had everything we needed. We enjoyed the screen porch and swing! We would certainly stay here again! ”

“Loved the large screened porch and private yard! Inside the cabin was clean and comfortable. It is the only place on the last hundred yards or so of a dead end road. A short walk from the Mississippi River and a 5 minute drive or 25 minute walk to a beautiful State Park with great hiking. If you are a light sleeper the trains might be an issue but we thought it was cool to have those distant train whistles.”

“Great place. Had everything we needed. Everything was up to date and it was very clean. Plenty of parking and appreciated the exterior electrical outlets as we were hauling a boat. Very comfortable stay.”

“We stayed 2 nights over the 4th of July. We loved the cabin and had a lot of fun. The owners are amazing and were so helpful and communicative! There is one downfall of the property and that’s that there is no central air, only 2 window AC units and considering we stayed when it was over 90 degrees it wasn’t ideal. The customer service and amazing cabin did make up for that issue. ”

“We loved our stay at Valley Lodge! It’s way better than the pictures. It was very clean, comfortable, and well decorated. It had everything we needed and then some! The game room was fun, and the hot tub was a great bonus. Communication was clear and timely, we would absolutely love to stay again! ”

“My family absolutely loved our time at the cabin! Cabin and property were fantastic! We will be returning. Something to do for everyone. Pond was great. Fishing was great. Evening and morning, deer in sight, it was great. Table big enough for all 8 of us- games in the evening were great. What else can I say...it was GREAT! Property owner, Ryan, was easy to deal with and made our time at the cabin worry free. ”

“Beautiful, peaceful, interesting, and lovely location and property. Lots of birds and deer. Nice trails. Cabin was quiet, quaint, and private. Visitor Center staff were kind, engaged, and knowledable. Neat displays and information. Enjoyed learning about Norwegian heritage and history. Property manager provided great communication. Signage to property was also helpful. I had a wonderful stay and will definitely visit again.”

“We had the best time staying in the Big Cabin for 3 nights it was the perfect amount of time. Such a beautiful quiet area. The host Tim was fantastic always quick to respond to all my questions. We will for sure make it back and would highly recommend this property along with the host Tim. I believe Tim has several other properties to vacation to. Five stars from my family!”
