The atmosphere was inviting. Had a great time during our stay, in part due to the staff giving us recommendations that were absolute gems. The pricing was right and the rooms were spacious. Good times.

Quiet location on the edge of town. Downtown is only a few minutes' drive. Desk staff was friendly and helpful. It's an oldie but a goodie - would easily stay here again.

We like to stay in older, refurbished motels when we travel. I do not understand how this hotel has a rating above eight on a scale of 10! Don’t be fooled by that. Maybe Expedia should expunge reviews older than one year. Although it seemed clean, except for the carpet, which definitely needs to be replaced, this was more like a $60 a night hotel than $110. The staff was not professional and seemed bothered by having to deal with us. We generally have wonderful experiences with highly rated two star hotels, but this was not the case at the Monticello Inn. I would certainly find somewhere else to stay.

When I Was Sleeping I woke Up This Morning With Bed Bug Bites On My Face Arm And Fingers. I Cannot Recommend This Place To Anybody. The Place Was Very Clean.
