"This is a lovely old Inn. We found that there was not good lighting to read in our room and just one chair. As the weather was poor It would have been nice to spend time reading. Ther is a couch downstairs that we could have used. "

"We stayed in the cottage. The location was beautiful and the view breathtaking. Our host Jeff was lovely, prepared a light healthy breakfast each day and always had a recommendation for our day trips. At first glance, the cottage was nicely furnished and neat. "Owners were so nice, bed was great, linens and towels were wonderful. House is very old and only drawback (which is original to the house and should not be changed!) is the bar/latch style door handles. The Violet Room has its private bathroom across the hall landing, but if you get up in the night as we do, you do make a lot of noise rattling those handles! "David's place exceeded my expectations! Very smart design and layout. Quality craftmanship and attention to detail. Super clean. I wish my daughter and i could have stayed longer! Close enough to Middlebury College for this to be a great option for 2 people. David was very nice to stop by to introduce himself and see if we needed anything. We didn't see him again, but knew he was only a phone call away. Perfect."

"Great for kids. My kids loved the big bedroom with the bunk beds and loft bed. Grill wasn’t the best but I luckily brought my own. The tap water wasn’t drinkable. Those are small gripes for the price though. Overall a great stay."
