"We had a wonderful stay at Sandside Lakehouse! The back of the property with its deck and beach area is just beautiful. The beds were comfortable and we had everything we needed for a weekend away. The only thing that we felt would improve the stay, would be an area to easily wipe the sand off of our feet. "

"We recently stayed at this beautiful, modern home in Leamington, perched near Lake Erie—though “magnificient lake view” might be a tiny stretch thanks to a few houses and trees doing their best to block the scenery. Still, the home itself is bright, clean, and stylishly decorated with lovely linens, comfy beds, and even two showers in the bathroom on the third floor (although wasted on the hubby and I, LMAO),
Now, about those “brand new” digs — you’d expect a few modern basics like USB charging ports (hello, 2025?), but nope, none to be found. Kitchen amenities were sparse, too. I mean, who uses a coffee pot these days? A Keurig would have been a normal thing in a new home built in “May 2025”.The utensil selection was definitely on the minimalist side. Salt, sugar, oil? I asked before arrival and after arrival... radio silence from the host.The lock on the front door gave us some trouble (surprise, surprise for a new home), but credit where it’s due: the host was responsive in person and helped us get in through the back door. Outside of that, however, the host was pretty much MIA when it came to questions — including our request for a late checkout. A little more communication would have gone a long way.

The neighborhood was peaceful—maybe a little too peaceful. The quiet and emptiness at night made for a slightly eerie vibe, so just a heads-up if you’re used to nightlife nearby.
Another quirk: no plastic bags allowed, yet the dumpster was packed full of them. A "

"My family and I had a lovely beach getaway at the Lakehouse! The easy access and closeness to the beach was especially appreciated with having a toddler among us. The beach views, waves and sunsets from the deck were priceless! The physical location of the property was another perk. We were minutes away from a fruit and vegetable market, ice-cream shop, grocery stores and recreational activities for our toddler (splash pad, playground and shaded tree park). Check-in went smoothly and as expected. When contacting the hosts, they were quick to respond and attentive to our needs. The kitchen facility was spacious and adequately equipped. "

The kitchen is well stocked with essentials and we didn’t have any issues finding utensils or items of need as we cooked there. Thanks for the great stay. "

"This was the perfect place for two to relax and enjoy. The constant sound of water lapping (or in the case of day 3, more like crashing) in the background was blissful! The cabin is small and compact but so well thought out containing all the things we needed. Top notch on cleanliness. Not sure if it was the water effect, but didn’t even miss the air conditioning Colourful sunsets. Want to catch sunrise, and so many other beauties too? Head up to Boardwalk at Point Pelee Park! "

"What a lovely visit we had - beautiful sunsets, right by Point Pelee National Park, comfortable stay. My only regret was I wasn’t comfortable climbing down to private beach area. Wish it would have been regular staircase. We plan on booking in again for next year. "

"I was very impressed with the room I booked. Everything had been renovated. The fridge in the room was so quiet you couldn't tell one was even in there. Air conditioning was controlled on the wall and no issues. Outlets for chargers were convenient and towels were replaced each of the days I returned from my adventures. Canadian Tire, Walmart, etc conveniently located directly across the street."

"This place is located just a few miles from Point Pelee, Pelee Island (by ferry), and the beach is about a mile away. The condo has all the amenities one would like, especially the quadruple heads in the master shower.Responses to inquiries were prompt and service was exemplary.We highly recommend the units at this location!"

"Leamington is a nice easy getaway and the condo was very modern and very new. The three level setup was perfect for my family of four. However, be sure not to gloss over the information about bugs in your welcome packet. There were spiders and spider webs everywhere inside and outside of the unit. So much so that it was uncomfortable to try to enjoy the beautiful balcony and my children were very uncomfortable sleeping with spiders in and around their beds constantly so we ended up heading home early the last night to sleep in our own beds. I do want to emphasize that the actual condo was beautiful and just looked like maybe it hasn't been used often so webbing was really piled up indoors. Or perhaps this is just something normal to the area? Come prepared."
