Property offers game room, outdoor hot tub, fire pit, and hiking trails. State Parks, lakes, canoe & kayaking, ziplining and so much more all located within a short distance from the property.
Relax, stargaze, or spend some quality time out by the campfire with family and friends. 10 minutes down the road, guests will find Lake Logan which offers an abundance of relaxation by the water. Take a 20 minute drive from your cabin to visit Old Man’s Cave, Cedar Falls, Ash Cave, Rock House, Conkle’s Hollow, or Rock Bridge located in Hocking Hills State Park. No matter the season, you and your guests won’t be disappointed when visiting all the beauty Hocking Hills offers!

Guests can enjoy some fine dining at Lake Hope Lodge or a day of picnicking and swimming with family and friends. The Cavalier is located 6 miles from Logan and 12 miles to Nelsonville, Ohio. The State Park offers over thousands of acres to explore by hiking, off highway vehicle riding, mountain biking, or horseback riding. When in town, guests will want to visit Nelsonville’s Historic Square Arts District, Stuart’s Opera House, Hocking Valley Scenic Railway, or the Nelsonville Music Festival that is held every year at Hocking College. On the opposite side of Nelsonville is Lake Hope State Park located in Zaleski State Forest.

Property very clean, well appointed except for the lower level bed. Rickety, very VERY noisy when you rolled over, felt it might just collapse. Upstairs shower leaked to lower level floor. I text pics and comments to # specified as it was very early morning, no response; called again about 11, left a message and no return call until 5 pm. Not a huge problem as we mopped and placed bucket under leak, but thought response time could have been better. Other than that, place was great!

We really enjoyed our time together at this cabin. It's a beautiful place, very relaxing and comfortable. It rained alot while we were there, so most of our time was spent at the cabin. We really enjoyed the hot tub although some of the jets don't work. This wasn't an issue with just the 2 of us, but I'd imagine it would be a bummer for 3 or 4 people in the hot tub at the same time (2 people would be without working jets). We really liked the layout of the cabin. There would be plenty of space for 2 couples to enjoy time together and still have plenty of privacy. Both living areas are comfortable. We would've stayed another night or two if it was available, but had already been booked. We're very happy with our choice. The only problem we had was during the booking process there was no place to indicate that we were bringing a pet. I messaged the company to let them know because I didn't know what else to do. Still a little confused about that, but it worked out and we had a wonderful time. The responses from the company were timely and pleasant.

Little getaway weekend
This is a quiet little getaway that we enjoyed very much. The cabin is well equipped in the kitchen area. Beds could be a little more comfy! Property is gorgeous. Close by to many of the main sites for hiking and not too far from town. A hairdryer at the property would be a great addition.

Avoid at all costs
Please read this, you'll thank me later. My boyfriend and I needed a couple days away from our crazy lives, so we decided to stay here. We were supposed to have a second couple join us, but they were unable to join last minute. Upon arrival, noticed that every surface was covered in a layer of dust. We gave them the benfit of the doubt and let it go. Come dinner time, we discovered that all of the cookware and dishware were also filthy. We had to rewash everything before use. Even their outdoor grills were disgusting. And all the outdoor seating was either broken or on its way there. The biggest problem was the hot tub. It was filled with dead bugs and some weird gray flakes, and surrounded by wasps, even with the cover on. We ended up leaving the night before check out because we couldnt stand to be there any longer. If you have another choice, please go with that one. I have found the ones owned by an actual person instead of a company are much better.

Well equipped newer cabin.
Items were well-provided for the stay. Could have definitely included that a gas grill with an extra tank was included though. Went to use the hot tub 2 days (out of a 5 day stay) before we left and was not able to use it. Was showing an error code and wouldn't come up to temp. Didn't want to try and have it fixed on our last full day there so kind of just wrote that off. Nice location and scenery. $100 fee for 2 Pugs to come with us was a bit steep considering they are very well behaved and don't require additional cleaning work, especially with what we were already paying. Had to go and purchase some wasp and hornet spray as we had an issue with them on the deck. Overall the cabin was very nice and well equipped for our stay. The beds could use an upgrade on that note.

The COLD tub
The hot tub did not work… unfortunately, that is one of the main reasons we chose this unit. After 3 calls to 1st choice lodging…. The hot tub was never fixed but they will give us a discount if we rent the same cabin again. Why in the world would we do that?????

Not to keen on the down slope driveway entrance. Loved the cabin. Downstairs was chilly. One of the fire pit chairs was broke. The hot tub was wonderful. saw a few deers a we even saw Bigfoot in the back yard. We stayed 4 days and enjoyed every minute.

There were a few issues like a broken bed in lower half, freezing cold lower half, gas grill needed cleaned badly, we had a small grease fire from the built up grease. Some out,door furniture in poor condition. We did encounter a few cock roaches. It is not elder friendly, no hand rails/bars in bathrooms, no handrail leading to cabin nor to firepit. Unfortunately we didn't realize that the stairs to lower level are spiral, not very elder friendly.

House was just as listed, spacious, very quiet area, 4 miles to Kroger in case you forgot anything. Property manager very responsive with any questions, nice touch that they will deliver firewood to you, reasonable price.
