Nice place by the water close to the Fortress of Louisbourg. Very friendly staff that make you feel welcomed. The restaurant has very good food with live music

An absolute gem of a hotel

The North Star Beach Suites is an absolutely fantastic place to stay! The rooms are perfect, very nicely furnished and with amazing views of the beach. Dinner in their on-site restaurant, The Bothy, was delicious, a truly memorable experience with Colin, one of the hosts, even joining the band for a beautiful song. Our only regret was we only stayed for one night!

This is a beautiful property, close to the Fort and the lighthouse. We had an oceanfront room that was perfect except they kept the outside lights on all night. So much for enjoying the darkness of the ocean night.

Beautiful stay, room was clean and bright.Had dinner ,wonderful atmosphere.Food was fantastic!!Great entertaiment!! Only suggestion, chairs to sit on, around the grounds to look over the ocean.

Lovely view from the bed and balcony. Bathroom definitely needs a renovation. Quiet area and we very much enjoyed the sounds of the ocean waves as we slept/woke-up.

This property has a fabulous view right on the beach. Hauling luggage up the stairs can be a bit of a problem. Also, pedestal sinks leave no room to put your toiletries. Suite was well stocked and clean, would be a lovely spot for a couple of nights. Also very close to Fort Louisbourg.

Big room with great room design and amenities. In non-ocean view, unable to get room dark due to yard lights overpowering white wooden shutters. Fan in bathroom very noisy. Noise from other rooms is easily heard. Would stay again but recommend you book ocean side and bring ear plugs to get a good night sleep.

We stayed in suite 14, ground level. One of the octagonal rooms. Really nice room. Effective use of the space. Great bed. Staff is unbelievably friendly. Very helpful. Our weather wasn’t the best. Which was expected. The beach just below the hotel is good for picking rocks. Maybe swimming? I would like to see electrical outlets/charging points for BOTH sides of the bed. We use our devices for everything these days. The restaurant menu is fabulous. I highly recommend the chowder. Looking forward to a future stay.

This place is 5 star all the way from the first moment you enter the reception area and Julie greets you with her friendly manner and lovely smile . We were in apt # 17 the cheery driftwood decorations the comfortable bed There was a heat pump for a/c but there were 6 large windows that actually opened and the smell of the sea and the gentle breeze blowing in the room lead to a very restful sleep. Then to the Bothy Restaurant that was so welcoming to the friendly staff And of course the smiles and attention to every detail from Colin and Justin .The food was amazing I recommend the seafood paradelle and the blueberry grunt for dessert .I forget the name of the young man who was the musical entertainment that night but the music was great and we sang along .I felt like I was partying at a friends house .I could go on and on but I highly recommend North Beach suites and The Bothy restaurant you will not be disappointed

Room was amazing, bathroom looked a little less modern but to be fair it was a good shower. The both resteraunt was very relaxing and decor beautiful. Food was outstanding and staff extremely friendly Breakfast in the morning was good portions and again lovely food. Mrs M in front desk was brilliant and even got to meet Justin!! Highly highly recommend

We had a beautiful ocean view room. Friendly courteous staff. Off the charts hospitable . The room itself surpassed all our expectations. Big , comfortable, had kitchenette , amazing sunrise from our room. The restaurant had excellent food choices and the quality was impressive. The drink selections were impressive and to top it off they had live music . We ate breakfast and dinner at the property . I can’t say enough about the place. Everything from check in to check out was super. We will return .
