we did not find the reviews until after we made the reservations or we probably would not have stayed. On the 10 hour drive there I found the reviews. Not good! And since this was the only hotel in the town we decided we would chance it and leave if it was bad. We checked out the room and it did not seem as bad as we thought it might be. It was dated but that wasnt a concern. It seemed tidy and clean---at first. we were short on towels as every review said...some saying they had none and either waited hours or did not get any. I saw the maid in the hallway cleaning and asked for more so we would have enough for our 4 day stay. She immediately brought some. I needed to move the upholstered chair and found dirty clothing, wadded up paper and crumbs underneath obviously had not been vacuumed. The toilet looked very rusty. Next morning it was clogged! they sent maid with plunger. she fixed it. after she left i looked and it was clean! It was NOT rust ! UGH!! there were several bad reviews on the breakfast but we found it satisfactory. Also, complaints on the pool. It looked open and there was no note on the door saying otherwise. we did not use it and didnt see anyone in there until the last day.

Just happened to be a noisy stay This time. Room above us, people were noisy.
