Exploring Lyon with Family
This was the best rental experience I have had. The hosts were so accommodating and easy to communicate with, and this was way before we arrived. The apartment is in a excellent location. The metro station is just a few steps away. Walking to shops, boulangeries, restaurants and Old Lyon. We met up with family for a 5 day visit and the apartment was perfect place for us to gather. The kitchen is very well equipped.The lift/ elevator fits 2 .It was nice to have use of the washer and dryer. We took the metro back to Part Dieu station. You will need a metro ticket to access the lift on the street level to take you down to the platform. Very helpful when you have luggage. A lovely light filled space, to spend time in amazing City. Thank you

Wonderful stay in Lyon
A lovely, characterful apartment in a fantastic location, with the metro right on your door step. Happily, the apartment is within walking distance of several fabulous restaurants and had all the amenities needed for an enjoyable stay, including a grocery store very nearby. We would gladly stay there again if we are fortunate enough to return to Lyon!

Lovely Lyon rental
Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Saxe & the City. The apt. had everything we needed and more. We couldn’t beat the location either. Our hosts were so responsive and everything was in order, as promised. We would love to return! Our only regret...vacation ended and we had to leave. Many thanks for a pleasant stay!

It’s all true!
All the positive reviews are true. This is a lovely spacious flat centrally located in Lyon and offers everything a guest could want for a city stay: Metro access, a lovely view, full kitchen and laundry, comfortable beds. We visited during extreme heat and the only downside is that there’s no air conditioning in the unit. Otherwise, a perfect stay.

What a fantastic apartment from which to explore the beautiful city of Lyon with all it's hidden treasures! So spacious, so clean, so well-equipped & an elevator to the 5th floor - comfortable bed and strong wifi ( essential for antipodeans travelling for 3 months). This is clearly not just a 'holiday rental', but Yoanne & Ida's home. And importantly, a Metro station (lines B & D) immediately below giving quick access to Part-Dieu station, the Tourist Centre at Bellecourt, and Vieux Lyon. Several boulangeries and a couple of bars are within close walking distance, and a wonderful Traiteur immediately below who managed to feed us on several occasions. The apartment is managed by Natacha who is always on call and very professional, and Yoanne & Ida stay in touch. All in all a wonderful experience. Would not look anywhere else for a return to Lyon.

Great location central to everything
You could not ask for a more central location than this property. With the metro just beneath you it is easy to move around the city with ease. The apartment was well appointed and very spacious. Good views from the balcony. Checking in was also very easy, Carine was there on time to open up for us and to explain how everything worked. If you have a car the parking arrangements are very good as well. Would highly recommend this apartment if you are coming to Lyon.

A Wonderful break in the ideal accommodation in Lyon
We have just returned from a wonderful stay and have to say that the accommodation more than surpassed our expectations. It more than matched the description given on the website and was a very comfortable and well equipped flat. From the early stages of booking, the owner Yoann was very helpful and prompt in getting back to us. Likewise we were impressed by the professionalism of Benedicte who met us outside the accommodation when we arrived at 4.30pm on a Tuesday and attended promptly on a Sunday morning to hand the keys back before our return home. The flat was perfect for our needs. It is situated near the centre of Lyon but not in the absolute busy centre of the city. The Saxe Gambetta Metro station is literally at the door and there are ample shops nearby for all your needs. The main areas of the city including Vieux Lyon and Bellecour were only a couple of metro stops away. Our party ranged from an 11 year old to a 76 year old and all were singing the praises of the apartment for everything from the wifi to the lift! The coffee machine went down a real treat. In conclusion I would not hesitate to recommend the apartment to anyone and we found absolutely no faults. We were visiting our nephew and stayed only for 5 days so we still have a lot to see of Lyon. It is a beautiful city and a hidden gem which ironically is probably one of its attractions. We will certainly be back to Lyon and hopefully to this apartment in the future.
