The grounds were well maintained, as well as a nice beach access across the street. Enjoying an evening bonfire with the owners and fellow guests added a touch of magic to our trip. "We enjoyed our stay at the Oar-asis! The location was ideal for us, with doing activities in the Porkies and in Ontonagon, and we were surprised by how many amenities were available! The hosts thought of everything that is needed for a great stay, plus the complimentary coffee, breads and cookies were delicious! One of the better VRBOs we stayed at with a very nicely stocked kitchen, charcoal for the grill, etc. The hummingbirds at the feeder were a delight to watch, and we even saw a deer wander along the yard perimeter to enjoy the apple trees one of the evenings! "

"We only used the upsatirs and really liked the house. Very comfortable with everything you need for your stay. Was absolutely in love with the woodsy backyard to a mostly pine forest. Last night we stayed we had a spike buck come with in 30 yrds of us at the campfire. Super cool to finish off our wonderful stay. Sorry though, didnt take any pictures of the back yard "

"Wonderful spot near Ontonagon, just perfect for me and my cousin to girls' week it in the Porkies for a hike, a drive to Copper Harbor, Broadway Drive down to Houghton, some Ambassador pizza, and a lot of waterfalls. Love the ease. "

"I can’t say enough about this property! Spotless camper, with plenty of room. The property is definitely private and SO relaxing! The camper itself is well stocked with everything you could possibly need, the owners thought of everything! Keith made the check in and check out process so easy, and he was very communicative throughout our stay. Our dog loved just hanging out in the yard with plenty of room to run around. We had such a great time and we would definitely stay here again! "

"We had a wonderful stay at this lovely lake house! It was the perfect spot for our family to reconnect and relax. We especially enjoyed kayaking on Lake Superior and took full advantage of the well-stocked kitchen for cooking meals together. "We enjoyed being able to stay closer to town and go to more of the local shops and restaurants. Close to the beach and the neighborhood is nice and quiet! Didn't use the kitchen but its gorgeous! Enjoyed the shower downstairs for days after the beach. "

The property was very clean, but was definitely in process of being updated. We really enjoyed the proximity to the lake, the affordability, the comfortable king size bed, and the pet friendly , safe neighborhood. Thanks for a great stay!!!"
"The property is just as shown in the photos! Lots of space, great for our 3 generation family and having the option to bring dogs is MUCH appreciated! It's a little off the beaten-path, but within just a few minutes, you have Twin Lakes for a picnic & swim, Krupp's Mini-Mart for last-minute essentials and the Boondock Inn for good bar/grill food and live music! "The property was a very old, well maintained farm house with as much as possible preserved from the past eras. We loved it!! When we first got there it was quite warm, due to some 90+* days prior. Thats when we discovered it was not air conditioned, however, there were fans for every room, and opening the windows cooled it down quickly. Even my grandsons loved the house, and playing in the nice big yard. It is VERY well located,close to Ontonagon, beaches, Porcupine Mtns, waterfalls etc absolutely wonderful. We were provided with necessaties, and appreciated the laundry detergent and being able to do up laundry as needed. This is our first airbnb stay, and if all owners are as communicative, we will definitely be doing this again."

"Great proximity to the Porcupine Mountains and the lake shore. We were able to do a day trip to Bayfield Wisconsin to the Apostle Islands, Ironwood, to Little Girls Point, to hunt for Yupper lites, and of course hiking in the mountains to find the waterfalls. All in all a great trip!"

"Great stay at Jake’s bar. Location is right off M26, but surprisingly quiet. We were up to make some improvements on a newly acquired property and it was a great place to come back and rest and relax for the evening. "
