"Kevin who checked us in was happy to answer all questions. The hotel is a historic site and grandfathered in, so no elevators to room but we were graciously offered assistance with luggage. Room 209 had a comfortable king bed. Streaming TV on wall for which I used my own Netflix login info. Bathroom was modern and had a half glass door. Hot water took a long time to reach the room and I prefer more water pressure (historic building.) I would also prefer to better place to put my toiletries as the wall mounted shelf next to sink was a bit small. Robes were in the closet and very cozy. We set the AC to 64 upon arrival and after dinner the room was still 70. There was a communal coffee station at the end of the hall with a small fridge and freezer and water. In the room, 2 glasses and a carafe were provided. Ice available at the bar until 9pm. Other end of hall had a library and seating. Complimentary wine tasting was done at 4:30pm by Dennis. Keri and Terri were both great on phone and in person. A $36 credit was provided for breakfast and Paige took care of the entire restaurant with kindness and grace. Egg order was undercooked, but they cooked it more for me when asked. Ample parking for a Thursday, grounds adorable and I'd love to see them in the summer. Access to the river with a small area for guests. Patricia O' Connor gave a great fireside chat about the history of Hawley and the Inn (last of the season.) and Keri joined us as well. It was so lovely. Would go again"

"This house was perfect for a quick weekend! There is a small beach by the lake that’s nice for a walk/morning coffee. It’s not a touristy area at all so it’s quiet and peaceful. I would say if you’re looking to be isolated it’s not necessarily for you, as it is in a community of houses, but if that doesn’t bother you it’s definitely still a great location! The host is extremely helpful and friendly. I had asked if there were board games and he literally went and bought some haha! GREAT place for dogs! The house itself has everything you need and the grocery store is maybe 15 minutes away. There are great trails nearby as well. I am pregnant so we spent our “baby moon” here and it was literally perfect :)"

"It was good but the breakfast voucher they give you is ridiculous. They dont give enough to cover the breakfast. And then they charge more if you get a coffee. I remember when you ate there before they had a set breakfast menue it you didn't have to pay anything. "

"I was extremely pleased when we got to the property and saw how wonderful it was. Everything was pristine and clean. I was shocked at all the amenities in the kitchen, including griddles extra coffee pots utensils pans everything you really need, down to the strainers. This was a really wonderful stay. The indoor pool was phenomenal heated so nicely. The babies loved it and the kids stayed in the pool so much of the time even though the weather outside wasn’t cooperating we had the game room as well with the pool table and we brought some board games although there were some there on the property. I highly recommend this property. "
