Where it all started!

Founded in 1996 by Jack White in San Diego, California. Ballast Point Brewing Co. started in the back of Home Brew Mart, a homebrew supply store White founded in 1992. As of 2015, it was the second largest brewer in San Diego County and the 17th largest brewery in the country based on sales volume.

Ballast Point is also the first microdistillery in San Diego since Prohibition. They currently produce 14 spirits: Old Grove Gin, Old Grove Barrel Rested Gin, Three Sheets White Rum, Three Sheets Barrel-Aged Rum, Three Sheets Spiced Rum, Opha Herbal Liqueur, Fugu Vodka, four flavored Fugu Vodkas (Horchata, Jamaica hibiscus, Pina, and Habanero), and the Devil's Share Whiskey family, including Single Malt, Bourbon, and Moonshine. However they jumped to huge popularity to their Sculpin IPA. The Sculpin grapefruit IPA is my all around favorite beer!

"We appreciate the check-in procedure with one of your great staff named Aronze. She made the check-in procedure convenient. We did not avail ourselves of having our rooms cleaned for the three days we stayed. However, we did ask for additional towels and paper cups which a maintenance person cleaning other rooms graciously gave us. Regarding the safe box in the room - it doesnt work (it kept indicating/flashing CLOSED). I know I could have asked for it to be fixed but we are busy/on a schedule and dont have the time to wait for a repair person. We like the convenient location of the hotel to nearby restaurants, bakeries, and shops. This is why I chose this particular Marriott. Thank you for asking our opinion regarding our Marriott stay. "

Manchester Grand Hyatt San Diego

"The Manchester Grand Hyatt is our go to hotel in San Diego due to its convenient location by the Seaport Village and many restaurants and shops. We have stayed there several times and always enjoy the scenic views from our room and the hospitality of the hotel staff. The breakfast buffet has a large variety of offerings including an omelette station. The MarketOne Cafe downstairs has many items including delicious pastries and other food and drink items. It is always a great experience to stay at the Manchester Grand Hyatt in San Diego."
