“My husband and I planned a stay with our girls and both our dads to make some memories. We found this amazing cabin and booked right away. It was even nicer in person than described. Only about 30 minutes from mammoth cave. They had plenty to do in the cabin when it rained and we all got to enjoy the hot tub post our hikes. We enjoyed competing on the shuffleboard table as well! If you are staying in the area, choose this house, you will not be disappointed.”

“A great place to stay for the weekend. We loved feeding the animals next to the cabin and kayaking. We loved the dogs visiting (Lola, Charlie, and Bo). Everything you could need to cook was available. We made use of the fire pit in the back and made our dinner over it using the grill.”

“The house was great. Very cozy for celebrating the new year. Beds are memory foam, new and wonderful if you like memory foam. Close to the National Park to be able to explore but come back and unwind. The house had everything we needed. If we ever come back we will definitely rebook.”

“Nice and quiet and secluded”

“Clean and well-equipped cabin overlooking a small pond. Owners were very cooperative and helpful. Unfortunately, we had bad weather and opted to leave early because pretty much all activities in the area are outdoors. After we used our cave tour tickets and found out that tours for the next few days were sold out, it didn't make sense to stay longer. Definitely rent a cabin on the lake. We were on a very small pond, and it was not what we expected. The waterfall and trail to get to it are...

“We rented this cabin for 2 nights as a getaway for our 24th anniversary. The cabin was surprisingly roomy for its size! It was very clean and well equipped with everything we needed. The area was so quiet and peaceful. We enjoyed walking the trails and viewing the cave and waterfall that was nearby. Beautiful scenery all around! Property owners did an awesome job with everything and made it an easy and stress free stay. We will definitely be returning in the future!”

“We really enjoyed our stay at this house. Everything was very clean, well decorated and very cozy. Wish the lighting would have been a bit brighter. The kitchen was well stocked. We really appreciated all of the tupperware containers, to store leftovers in. The lake level at rough river was low. There was also a lot of floating debris at certain times, making it hard to boat or tube. I would suggest putting a note in the manual about what day trash day is, along with providing one or two more...

“My family and I had greatly enjoyed our stay! The cabin was clean and well stocked with any kitchen utensil you could need. The provided fire logs were greatly appreciated during the chilly evenings and our 2 year old sun loved hanging out on the gated deck in the afternoon sunshine. “Weekend fishing trip for 5 dads. Overall we had a great time. The (log) cabin was nice. Check-in was easy. Clean and tidy. The kitchen had everything we needed. “Pat's home is beautiful, with every amenity imaginable. We particularly enjoyed the comfy and ample seating, the fireplaces, and the back porch. The heat lamps were a special surprise and we made use of them during our frigid time of year visit. The house is quite a trek from the landmarks you would plan to visit in the winter, just give yourself ample time to get anywhere that is scheduled (like Mammoth Cave tours and the like). I imagine visiting in the warmer months makes for a more appealing...
