"We were passing through the area staying at the hotel for one night, so sadly we didn’t get to enjoy all it had to offer. The hotel restaurant served wonderful pizza and pasta, the grounds were stunning and the room was comfortable. Thanks for a memorable night! "

"Spectacular property with breathtaking grounds and a view of the volcano from every room. Rustic decor that matches the surroundings. The staff was very helpful and accommodating. We were delighted with our choice to stay here and only wish we had been able to stay longer."

"The hotel was amazing along with the staff. The grounds and views were beautiful! An authentic beautiful place. The view from our junior suite was the best I’ve seen in Costa Rica. And the massages in the spa were fantastic. "
"Wonderful property! My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay. I liked walking the trails and the swimming pool is very warm. Staff was very friendly and helpful. I highly recommend. It's also just a very short walk into town where we ended up having all of our meals and there is a nice supermarket there as well. Everything was very convenient. We were a little disappointed that there was no mini fridge in the room. "

"If anything, the name of this hotel ('pretty view') undersells it by a long shot!
On a clear day you can see the sun rise over the volcano from your balcony and the view extends to the left over all of Lake Arenal. Stunning. My mouth literally dropped open when we entered our room and the big pane window was filled with a clear view of the volcano (we were lucky to arrive on a really great visibility day!)
Loved the staff, very helpful and accommodating and kind. The pool has views of both the lake and the volcano. Slight discount at the restaurant for hotel guests and complimentary breakfast. Dinner was the best casado we've had, the desserts are beautiful and delicious, and our meal was accompanied by the sweetest little pup maitre d'😍
We were only there one night, but the location was easy to get to from Arenal Observatory Lodge, and I'd stay again for sure, and have already recommended to friends."
"Tabacón is an incredible resort! The springs is much larger than you would expect, with many beautiful parts to find privacy and relaxation. The drinks are incredible and views are even better.
We indulged in a couples volcanic mud massage- and it was the best massage ever! The spa is beautiful, peaceful and worth it!
One thing to consider is that it is a 20minute ride to town, so you are pretty much committed to eating at the resort- which is not cheap. Each drink is $15 and meals are $20 . The breakfast options are a buffet at $35 a person or room service- which is about $20 . (Summer 2024) The food was amazing, but we were definitely expecting some cheaper options before we arrived. "

"The restaurant was excellent because they used fresh ingredients that they grew in a garden. Excellent free sit-down breakfast. All the food tasted amazing.
The staff is super friendly and ready to help with anything (e.g. tours rearrangement, transport arrangements etc.)
Super eco friendly too!
Great location in the town.
We would highly recommend this hotel.

"This is a simple and cute property in Monteverde, not far from the town (as long as you have a car). The staff is very friendly and helped us book all of our tours. The breakfast was also excellent.
Our favorite part about the property were the animals we saw. Toucanets, hummingbirds, and lots of other small birds and mammals were roaming around - what a treat!"
