“We needed a place for family to gather while coming and going from Lynchburg and Liberty University. The size of the home and the setting were great! We had plenty of elbow room and loved seeing the goats and donkey and a wonderful walk through the orchard. The drive into Lynchburg was easier than expected, but this location is definitely off the beaten path and meant once you get back to the house you stay. The bathroom needs some TLC and upkeep. “From the moment we arrived at the property and identified ourselves as the family staying at Elmo's rest, we were treated like part of the family. We arrived at the house to find everything clean and ready even though we were a couple hours early. The house is a century old so floors creak and some doors stick a bit.
