"Excellent location just outside of Malcesine, easily walkable. Fantastic panoramic views of the mountains from the pool and terrace. Pool was busy and limited sun loungers but views were breathtaking. Breakfast was excellent with a good selection of food and drinks. "

"For a 3 star hotel, this is top tier. Everything you need, closest to the lake you'll get and the bed has so far been the best during my Italy trip. It is a bit dated, but that's expected and acceptable. The price is moreso the luxury of proximity than facilities. The breakfast was as good as a 5 star hotel. Would go here again if in Malcesine."

"A fantastic location for a brief stay. On arrival we realised we had not booked a room with balcony. They facilitated an upgrade at a reasonable cost , however, the superior room was only available for the first of our 2 nights. So, after moving room after 1 night they gave us the best room in the hotel. A penthouse suite with enormous terrace. Staff were very friendly and helpful. My only minor criticism is that after the breakfast restaurant closes at 11am, there is no facility for drinks until the bar opens at 5pm"

"We had an amazing time at Hotel Villa Dirce. The hotel is essentially carved into the side of the mountain overlooking the lake and is absolutely picturesque. Our room (and it seems most of the rooms from what we could tell), had a truly amazing view out over the lake. The nearby town of Limone has cute restaurants and shops (can get crowded during peak times), and is a 0.8 mile walk from the hotel. There seems to be a lot of discussion about the walk in the comments, I would generally say the walk is very doable (primarily one set of stairs to climb/descend depending on the direction), but if mobility is a concern the stairs are a little steep. However, there is a shuttle that runs regularly between the hotel and the town center. The hotel has an awesome pool with amazing views over the lake. There isn't direct access to the lake from the hotel, but there are public beaches along the walk to Limone. Would highly recommend Hotel Villa Dirce!"

"We really loved the hotel. We had great stay with amazing memories. Everyone who we met who worked in the hotel was so amazing, friendly and helpful. Ladies on reception quick, efficient, smiley! Breakfast area people always super helpful and welcoming. Shuttle bus lady - always smiling. Guest were also super friendly always happy to exchange a word about experience or plans. Room was big with a very comfortable bed, all facilities were great, and good number of towels!!! room not extremely modern but not old either, actually it didn’t change a thing! Swimming pools amazing! With wonderful view. All plants and trees were beautiful too. Parking super easy and safe. Restaurants nearby! Very clean and everything organised well. We loved it!!! Air con could be stronger but it did the job to provide a cooler space. We loved the hotel and we felt comfortable and welcomed. Thank you to everyone who put a lot of work so everything works smoothly. Also thank you for smiling it makes an amazing difference! "

"A lovely hotel just 200m from the edge of Lake Garda. Excellent views from the room, we had chairs and sun loungers to enjoy all day. The pool was peaceful and not over crowded, always able to get beds, and complimentary towels. The room wasn’t very big, but enough space for us to relax. It was very clean and tidied each day. Breakfast has lots of options in the buffet and you can sit looking at the view of the lake. The gym is small and outdoors with some cover so no AC, also overlooks the lake. The town center is a 15-20min walk away so this area is much quieter and too busy. Only downside was the gardeners were in during our 3 day stay so always leaf blowers and hedge cutters making noise. "
