It's the perfect place for those who want to spend their days at Story Land and their afternoons and evenings barbecuing on the gas grill, dining outside beneath the screened tent, or reading in the warmth of the wood-burning fireplace or the pellet stove indoors. You'll have a wealth of entertainment at your fingertips, including a large flatscreen TV in the living room and a second living area on the lower level with a flatscreen TV, a poker table, and a wonderful selection of books, DVDs, and games. Leave the day's clothes in the private washer/dryer, and retreat each evening to the comfort of three bedrooms - two air-conditioned bedrooms upstairs and a kids' room downstairs.

The house exceeded our expectations. So clean, great lighting. Beds wre very comfortable . Location was great, very close to shops and great restaurants. We put a fur in the fireplace and watched a movie and had some cocktails!

Quiet location
Nice private home on quiet road. Comfortable for two couples on main level. We didn’t utilize the basement. Had a fire outside but the unit was very unsteady. The pergola that we sat under is also broken which could be dangerous. Inside home was clean and fine. Lots of dishes and cutlery. Cookie sheets are in need of being replaced. Spacious living and dining area. Our second trip back!!

A solid place, close to all
A solid, very clean house. I appreciated hots of bathrooms, good appliances, linens and mattresses in good shape as well as reasonable paper products and some dishwasher/laundry pods to get the trip started. We were anticipating using the bunk room a lot but could not get the temp in that particular room, located in the basement, higher than 58 degrees (outside temp at the time mid 20s) and I didn’t feel comfortable having little kids sleep there.

Quiet and convenient to all shopping and activities.
Property was in an easily accessible location, close to shopping and activities. A couple of things about the property that were noted was the limited amount of towels (one hand towel for two adults), no pot holders in the kitchen (had to purchase) and the carpet in the dining area had peanuts over it so obviously the chairs were not moved to vacuum. Otherwise the beds were comfortable and the bathrooms clean. There was plenty of all kitchen supplies (dishes, cutlery, cooking items, etc.) There was plenty of space for four adults and each couple had their own bathroom. We did not utilize the basement but was very spacious. We had a great getaway. Would return again!!!

Comfortable house with fabulous view
This was a very comfortable house for three families (6 adults, 4 kids). We arrived in the dark and woke up to a lovely view of (I assume) Moat Mountain. All the bedrooms were comfortable, kitchen was well stocked. This was an ideal base for a great weekend of ski and snow. Loved it! NB: Bring your own firewood for the fireplace!

Dirty floors, window gaps let the bugs in
It's a shame this property hasn't been maintained by the property management company hired by owner to do so: Vacasa. This is our second Vacasa experience met with poor housecleaning. Upon arrival, the hardwood floors still had grit and weren't cleaned. I discovered that the vacuum in the house was broken and they cleaning staff were simply trying to clean the floors with a swifter. Vacasa did agree to refund part of my stay. But not to my satisfaction. I ended up washing the floor on my hands and knees because they couldn't send help. (They finally had a vacuum dropped off on out 3rd day, as we are already checking out). Two window air conditioned units in two bedrooms had not been installed properly, leaving gaps for grasshoppers, spiders and mosquitos in. Someone previous to us had tried stuffing paper towels in the gaps - I tried adding some painter's tape. The bunk beds in the basement do not seem safe - tape wrapped around the connections where the top and bottom bunk meet. Lots of cobwebs through the basement. Poker table filthy...looked like some old chewing tobacco in the corners of the table. And the basement fridge pictured is broken, with tape on it reading "do not plug in" All of this is a shame, because the house would otherwise be great. Lots of pots and pans (these were dirtly as well), books, boardgame, movies - and a lot of space.

A wonderful stay
We really enjoyed our time at this well maintained and managed home. The house is in a private yet convenient location. It is very clean and fully stocked. It also has a lovely view of Moat Mountain in the distance from living room and deck. PVR team did a nice job in keeping us informed of all necessary details prior to our trip. They were very responsive and helpful during our stay as well. We were able to manage the garbage drop-off with no issue at all. Thanks again for sharing your beautiful home with us. We loved our stay!

Excellent Location For What We Did
The property was an excellent location for what we did. The six of us fit nicely into the three bedroom property. There were two bedrooms upstairs, one downstairs, two full bathrooms, a full and complete kitchen, a dining room and a comfortable living room. The property was spacious for our needs and well kept. However, we did have a few issues that need to be addressed. The downstairs bedroom was QUITE COLD the first night until they found a space heater for the second night. Yes, they could have used the pellet stove, but then, according to the property documents, the guests have to BUY more pellets for the ones they used. When we arrived, we had to make our own beds with the sheets neatly placed on the beds. When asked by phone why we had to make our own beds upon arrival, the response was "we don't do that". Upon check out we were asked to do several things; some of which I'm not sure I understand and some I do. Turn off all the lights, lower the temperature to 50 degrees on the thermostat, clean up all trash outside (food for animals) and lock the doors are all items that were expected and completed. However, we were asked upon checkout to empty the refrigerator and wipe it down, wipe down all the bathroom and kitchen counters, empty the trash (and take it to the Office property to dispose of it - the opposite direction to which we were traveling), load and start the dishwasher, place all towels in the bathroom and strip all the sheets off the beds. As we were doing these things, we were asking, "What exactly does the 'cleaning crew' do?" At the completion of our tasks, I have to say we got tickled and laughed a little at the envelope on the kitchen counter that was, I can only assume, a tip for the 'cleaning crew'. Again, this particular property was in an excellent location for what we did and the time of year (October) in which we were there. Thank for the opportunity to write this evaluation and for allowing us to rent this property.

Beautiful open concept home with all the necessary household items to make our stay comfortable!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this home. Everything was very clean and served mine and my sisters family extremely well for our 8th annual skiing/snowboarding year end trip. Our two boys (17 and 21) and their two friends and a nice place to hang out in the basement away from the adults! Appreciated the shoveling/sanding of the very icy walkway! We were close to North Conway center and mountains for skiing. House had everything we could need to make our stay comfortable! We will definitely look in to renting again in the future.
