Gorgeous view. Food was good too and I appreciated the breakfast hamper although some might prefer a hot breakfast. Only minor annoyance was hearing lots of kitchen noise when I was trying to get an early night. But I was so tired I couldn’t be bothered to get up to ask anyone to be quiet! Overall I would go back. The service was dreadful, from chasing phone calls on arrival time (not allowed any later than 8pm no exceptions). Breakfast is non existent and won't arrive until 8:15-8:30 which doesn't help for either business trips or those who want to make the most of the area. Overpriced food and hidden service charges and the food was mediocre. Drinks stop being served as soon as you finish eating (21:45) even though there were two tables and at least 9 people in the bar. No staff on site at night. The whole point of booking here was so that I could attend a Teams call at 4.45 which I then couldn't do. The whole place looks tired and needs a re-vamp. Food and service outstanding and room was lovely. This is a really lovey old building with bags of charm. The staff have been fantastic and the food great.
