One of the most popular neighborhoods in Florida, this bustling area is full of art galleries, shops, bars and restaurants.

Downtown Orlando is a lively center of entertainment in Central Florida. Enjoy its dynamic atmosphere and find great dining spots, trendy shopping options and plenty of nightlife. The area also has a park and a lake. This is the historic district of the city, where you can admire beautiful churches and buildings.

Church Street is one of the most interesting neighborhoods in Downtown Orlando. It dates back to the 1800s and houses many notable buildings. See the famous Kress Building, an art deco department store built in the 1930s. On Magnolia Avenue, discover the Rogers Building, a former gentlemen's club that has a beautiful emerald color and intricate details forming floral patterns. Visit Church Street Station Depot, built in 1889, and take photos of its picturesque conical tower.

While you are touring Downtown Orlando make sure you see the elegant churches in the district, including the Gothic-style Cathedral Church of Saint Luke and the parish church St. James Cathedral.

Art is very easy to find in Downtown Orlando, even on the streets. See Art Orlando is a collection of public art sculptures scattered around the neighborhood. Admire fantastic pieces, such as the Muse of Discovery by Meg White. This huge limestone sculpture features a woman with an open hand, large enough for you to sit on. Stop at the Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts, a famous art hub where you can find educational exhibits, ballet, theater plays and comedy gigs.

Enjoy some outdoor fun at Lake Eola Park, a beautiful green area with a lake and a fountain. Wander around the park and discover its red pagoda and the Walt Disney Amphitheater, which offers performances and events.

Reach Downtown Orlando and move around easily. Use LYNX and LYMMO bus services. You can also use the commuter rail line called SunRail. It has two stations in the district, one on Church Street and one on Lynx Central.
