"The room was very comfortable, quiet and clean. There is a shared bathroom for the floor, which was fine for us since only one other room was occupied. (I don’t know how that goes when the inn is full.) We did not take advantage of any of the other common areas (living room w/TV, sitting room). The entire house is beautifully decorated in the Victorian style, with lots of furniture, busy wallpaper, and decorative items on the shelves, dressers and side tables. "The owners, Carol and Denis, were just fabulous! So courteous and accommodating. They welcomed us in like we were family and not guests. The location was clean and quiet and warm in a cozy way. I loved the 24/7 access to coffee, tea, and hot cocoa, the gorgeous antiques, and the hominess. Even the house itself invited you in! And the breakfast? Fantastic!! So fresh and delicious and huge! I was stuffed every morning! The only issue was the parking was a bear trying to get in and out of safely....

"We stayed at the Munroe Inn for 2 nights to watch the solar eclipse and it was phenomenal. Olga could not have been more helpful or responsive and Inn is so charming, clean, and comfortable. Safety is a concern of ours as well and the Inn is in a residential neighborhood and is well lit for evening arrivals. Highly recommend!"

"Rose was great and accommodating to us. Communication was great so if we needed to adjust the room temperature she was on it right away. The room was spacious and the bed was quite comfortable! Unfortunately we were up and out too early to have breakfast, but I have read great things about it! Overall, it was a peaceful stay and we had a great time in Maine. "

"Owner does not live onsite. Not 5 star clean but livable. Need to vacuum UNDER the bed and top of the four-poster bed had thick cobwebs wrapped around it. No flexibility for breakfast times or an offer of anything to grab and go. Room could have used a box of tissues and a full-length mirror. Two rooms have a fairly steep set of stairs to access them. "

"We arrived when electric crews were restoring service to everyone, and when the generators stopped, the sounds of loons and ducks took over. The property is adorable, you are literally 2 steps from the water. We couldn't stop watching the ducks, different birds, a heron parade down the cove. "We only had a very brief stay, alas, but made the most of the opportunity as best we could. A few updates are needed with the introductory welcome materials and equipment information that will be easy but useful to correct. Glad we had a chance to pause in western Maine, with a view of close mountains and the distant Presidential Range in NH.
