Review of Sofitel Hotel – A Comfortable Stay with Room for Improvement
Overall, our stay at the Sofitel was very pleasant. The room itself was comfortable and well-maintained, and the housekeeping staff did an excellent job keeping it clean and tidy throughout our visit.
However, there were a few aspects that could be improved. The duvet comforter was used as the main cover with no top sheet provided, which was not ideal. Additionally, the curtains in our room were in need of repair, and the refrigerator was not working during our stay.
Service was a bit inconsistent. While the bar offered a great happy hour with a nice selection of drinks, the bartenders were not particularly welcoming. We also had some difficulty communicating with the front desk—phone calls from our room to request extra towels and a sheet went unanswered, and even after speaking directly with staff in the morning, our request was still forgotten.
The hotel's outdoor bar and restaurant seating area could use some attention as well. It has potential but currently feels neglected; for example, hanging flower pots along the fence contained trash instead of flowers, which created a cluttered and uninviting appearance.
Despite these issues, we appreciated the efforts of the housekeeping staff and enjoyed certain amenities. With a few updates and improvements in service, the Sofitel has the potential to offer a truly exceptional experience.
