It was different. Not in a bad way but very high tech. The way you just hit first the room number and it tell you what elevator to take. The only thing for me was there was a lout alarm that went off tell you not to take elevators but head to lobby. High sense of urgency no one saying what was going on until you stood there for a bit. Then when they came back on the intercom it was a soft spoken false alarm. Still didn’t know what it was about.

The staff is lovely and the property gorgeous. The room could have been more complete (no slippers to be found and no in-room mini bar amenities, which was surprising). The grounds are pristine and peaceful.

Excellent, authentic NY Hotel. Not part of the big chain hotels. Excellent location. Friendly staff. Great restaurants. Don’t get too excited about the free grab and go breakfast. I mean, it’s ok for free. But don’t make that a part of your decision.
