Hotel is good for the price!
We only stayed for a couple nights in a standard room, I would recommend if you're staying for awhile, to pay the extra $50 dollars and upgrade to the Premium room. Standard is in the older part which is showing its age. AC unit was quite loud and woke us up when it turned on at night. The bathroom was quite small and crowded. The TV would freeze/glitch or sound was off while watching the Cable channels. The lighting in the room was very dim.
The Bed and Pillows in the Standard room were comfy though and at the end of the day that's all that matters!
The outdoor hotel pool was great, it was awesome to relax after a long day roaming the city.
Complimentary breakfast was a simple buffet but still good. The only complaint with the breakfast was it was a dine in only seated breakfast, where the servers took your drink orders, (only juice and coffee) but food was self serve. Servers still brought a receipt with tipping options.
Out of courtesy we tipped a few dollars in cash but was also told when checking out the same amount was charged to our room number.
Location was great! Across the street was Krispy Kreme, Mcdonalds, Chick-Fil-A, and short walk to the CF Chinook Centre.
