"The property is in a small village. Pub next door , but otherwise its a peaceful , quiet area. Wells next to sea is about a 5min drive away.
My room was nice, it had a kettle, iron,Ironing board, bathroom was clean and shower hot. The beds were good and the room was clean. There is some parking on site. Staff were pleasant and helpful. Breakfast was also good. I really enjoyed my stay here."

Mis-matched and cracked tiles in bathroom, discoloured grouting, damaged mirror, inadequate shower bracket making it unuseable, dirty shelf and window surround, loose toilet seat. Drink splashes on walls, outdated furniture with several damaged areas, dirty tea tray. Holes in corners of duvet cover. Paintwork excessively damaged. The room needs a complete refurbishment and was not worth what we paid....

"A beautiful inn! Although the Library room was smaller than expected, it was incredibly cosy and we enjoyed the stay. The restaurant staff are delightful - so friendly and nothing is too much trouble for them. We had dinner one of the nights we stayed and it was lovely (as were the free breakfasts). Great location - so close to the coast and perfect for a mini getaway. Would definitely recommend!"

Room was not good. It has clearly been very nice but it isn't any more.
The facilities are OK, but the room and the shower room both now really need a good 'deep clean' to reach acceptable standards.

"My top marks for everything come from someone who ran her own BnB in France. Right in the middle of town, nextdoor to the best ice cream parlour and with the best bed I’ve ever slept in … what more can I say? "
"We had a wonderful, long, lazy weekend at Mount Zion in Wells-next-the-Sea. We were there to come together as a family to celebrate my husband's sixtieth birthday. I searched for the right property, and this was perfect for us. It has a beautiful, spacious living area comprising the lounge, dining room, and kitchen, the perfect communal area in which we were able to cook, play games, talk, read, watch films, and snooze together, all while still having space. The garden and courtyard were bonuses, not only for the dogs to play in, but thanks to the wonderful weather, we were able to make great use of them. The bedrooms, all with an ensuite, were good sizes, elegant and comfortable (it was particularly good to have two baths in the property!). The kitchen was well equipped, and we made good use of it to cook many delicious produce bought locally. The Norfolk Hideaway company that manages the property provides an exceptional service. From my initial booking and advance information to answering queries in advance and during our stay, all the staff we spoke to or met were professional, polite and efficient, they could not be more helpful.We have already recommended Mount Zion and the Norfolk Hideaways company to friends and family, and would be delighted to return in the future. "
