“Spent one night at this guest house in very convenient position in Wells next the Sea. Convenient 24 hour paying car park across the road, but free from 6.00pm to 8.00 am.”
“Loved our stay in the family loft. Staff were very friendly. Space was clean and they accommodated our request for an extra bed and pillows. Food is excellent- the breakfasts were delicious and we all
Enjoyed the pub quiz. Easy short walk to all the local activities. Would absolutely recommend.”
“Beautiful property, decorated and appointed to a high standard. Great spot to retire to after a long day exploring the area. Breakfast was spot on and just what we needed to set us up for the next day's adventures too. Sam and her Mum, Carole, were very welcoming and gave us some outstanding tips that made our days out even better. Thank you very much.”
“We had a lovely two night stay, the room was spotless. Ate in the restaurant the first night and it was excellent. The breakfast was also good but the only downside was the slow service, only one person on in the kitchen for at least 10 rooms wasn’t enough. Also odd breakfast hours of 9-10.45 didn’t help. That said it was a lovely stay. We would go back.”
“Fantastic stay, room was beautiful . service from minute we arrived was outstanding, comfortable bed very clean and quite slept very well..breakfast was excellent can't recommend highly enough”
“Staff were very courteous and accommodating, and gave helpful suggestions about the local area.
Breakfast was made to order at our chosen time.
Unfortunately, I thought the room looked rather tired and I found the bed quite uncomfortable, with hard ridges across the mattress all the way down.
The bathroom in our room was OK but quite small. There were no shelves or anywhere to put toiletries or cosmetics. ”
“Friendly helpful staff.
Courtyard room very small and although there was an air cooler it was useless. We took our Dyson fan with us and hardly slept on the first night. Definitely need air conditioning in bedroom. Very nice breakfast with good menu.
Inside The Orange Tree we found it very tired and needed a thorough clean eg windows, window ledge and ornaments adjacent to our breakfast table. I mentioned this to a waitress as not very appetising. Also the upholstered chairs looked really……
“Property has been upgraded downstairs and the restaurant and bar area are lovely as is the outside courtyard. When you go upstairs it’s apparent that an upgrade is still required. Our room - 3 - overlooked a very busy main road and the secondary double glazing did nothing to keep the constant traffic noise at bay. There are two windows in that’s room. And they are old and rotten. Triple glazed windows required. Carpets need replacing. Bathroom has been upgraded and is very pleasant but b&b……
“The room was clean. The bathroom a little inconvenient (especially the shower, which is hard to use without spraying everywhere). The staff are very pleasant. The breakfast is not great, especially if you choose the non full english breakfast options.”
