“Staff were very courteous and accommodating, and gave helpful suggestions about the local area. Breakfast was made to order at our chosen time. Unfortunately, I thought the room looked rather tired and I found the bed quite uncomfortable, with hard ridges across the mattress all the way down. The bathroom in our room was OK but quite small. “Friendly helpful staff. Courtyard room very small and although there was an air cooler it was useless. We took our Dyson fan with us and hardly slept on the first night. Definitely need air conditioning in bedroom. Very nice breakfast with good menu. Inside The Orange Tree we found it very tired and needed a thorough clean eg windows, window ledge and ornaments adjacent to our breakfast table. I mentioned this to a waitress as not very appetising. Also the upholstered chairs looked really……

“Property has been upgraded downstairs and the restaurant and bar area are lovely as is the outside courtyard. When you go upstairs it’s apparent that an upgrade is still required. Our room - 3 - overlooked a very busy main road and the secondary double glazing did nothing to keep the constant traffic noise at bay. There are two windows in that’s room. And they are old and rotten. Triple glazed windows required. Carpets need replacing. Bathroom has been upgraded and is very pleasant but b&b……
