I am very disappointed with my experience at this hotel. We were not given the room that I originally booked. When I asked about it, the staff gave us explanations that were not truthful and claimed that the different room they offered us was actually better than the room we had booked. However, that was not what I booked or paid for. Regardless of whether they considered the replacement room “better,” I specifically chose and reserved a particular room, and the hotel did not provide what was promised. I feel that the situation was handled dishonestly and that we were not treated fairly as guests. If the hotel could not provide the room I reserved, they should have been upfront and honest about the situation instead of giving us misleading explanations. Overall, I am very disappointed that the hotel did not honor my reservation.

Not worth the money! The sea is blurry and sandy and very shallow. The staff is clueless and very unprofessional. The restaurant at the beach is very mediocre, They served an unripened avocado as avocado toast once, it was like plastic. The chef apologized for it eventually but they shouldn’t have served it in the first place. Most of the staff was clueless all around the hotel, except for the night receptionist who was helpful. The happy hour at the beach is between 3-6 pm, extremely loud with Turkish and Arabic music selection. Last but not least my room stunk with smell coming from the toilet, they fixed it the same day. Overall horrible experience, won’t be back.

We had a really good week at the Plaza Bodrum. The villa was excellent, spacious, clean and very well kept, and the sea was beautiful. Waking up to that view every morning made the trip. The best thing about this hotel is that you get your own dedicated person assigned to you. Ours was Dilara, and she was perfect. She sorted our transport, answered every question and handled anything we needed straight away. Whatever came up, it was resolved quickly because of her. If you stay here, that personal service is genuinely what sets the place apart, and Dilara deserves real credit for it. Two things I would flag. The Italian restaurant was a disaster. It is supposed to be the premium option for special guests, but they could not cook an egg properly even after five attempts. For a restaurant positioned that way, it was well below the standard of everything else on site. There were also far too many bees around the outdoor dining area, and you simply cannot finish a meal in peace. One last note for anyone planning a trip: Bodrum was noticeably colder than other places we have been at this time of year, so pack accordingly. Would still recommend the hotel, mainly for the villas, the setting and the personal host service. Just eat elsewhere.
