My husband, baby, and I, along with another couple and their baby, stayed at this cottage during our trip to Cape Breton. The cottage was more spacious than we expected and fit us well. The kitchen was well equipped and the dining area was great. Our favorite part was the proximity to the beach! Great sand and swimming, and the location made it perfect for running back and forth with kids. The kitchen, dining room, and bedrooms are all neat and tidy, and the kitchen in particular has everything you need to cook a meal if you can't find food in Cheticamp, which is a pretty small town where there aren't a ton of options if you're really into good food. The outdoor space is amazing - separate fire pits and seating for each cabin, an outdoor deck space, and plenty of room to roam with pets that are a safe distance from the road. The beach across the road is also great and not super crowded - very relaxing atmosphere! Only complaint is that the bathroom was a little wet/mildewy, and the hot water wasn't working when we arrived, but the owner got it sorted quickly and was really responsive to us. You cannot beat the location with the ocean out front and then harbor behind.The cottage was clean, comfortable and modern. Great deck for relaxing. We had 2 adults and 2 teens, the size was fine for just a few days of R&R. We lucked out with the weather and got to enjoy a few beautiful sunsets at the beach just steps away. We could tell there have been a lot of upgrades to the cabin. The kitchen was lovely. However, the AC wasn't working and we weren't told about this in advance. Luckily the days we were there it was relatively cool but if it had been as hot as it was the week before it would have been a problem. I tried to contact the owner a couple of times through VRBO and through email with no response. We also didn't get any communication leading up to our stay telling us how check-in would work.
