“Poor communication and disappointing experienceUnfortunately, our experience with this booking was not positive. After reserving the property, we encountered an issue and tried to contact both the host and Vrbo right away. Communication from the host was unhelpful and we never received check-in or access instructions. In the end, we were unable to stay at the property and were disappointed by the lack of flexibility and support.”

“Overall stay was good. Beds were nice, they have one room with 1 queen, second room with 2 twin beds and one sofa bed in the TV room. Speaking of the TV, the photos might be showing there is one but that's just for decoration as per the host. Water is not drinkable, so need to arrange it ourselves. There was vomit behind toilet seat in powder room when we checked in. Rest of the cabin was clean. The door for backyard deck did not have working locks nor did it have working grill.”

“Emily was an excellent host and very communicative before our visit and during if I ever had any questions. The house itself was lovely and had plenty of space. The pictures were great, but I'd say it was even better in person! Everything was clean and stocked, and we had no issues with any aspect of the property. I'd absolutely recommend this Vrbo rental and would gladly stay again if ever in the area. Thanks so much Emily for your hospitality!”

“The unit was spacious but the kitchen area was small. The bedrooms were good but the mattresses were rock hard. The bathrooms had some mold and the sliding door was very hard to open and close. The location and main facilities were great. ”

“The setting was beautiful, a shimming lake and a burst of colour from autumn foliage. Unfortunately the cottage was lacking. Shower door won’t stay closed, not a dresser, shelf, or hook for clothing, oven not clean, rack in backwards and fell out, extreme floor slanting. But, the most upsetting was the Lack of Communication with the host and the agency, The Muskoka Waterfront Retreat. We wanted a 3 night reservation, but mistakenly entered 2. “The entire experience from booking to check out was amazing! Always quick communication. There is a super detailed binder with everything you want to know, and more! We had requested more of a supply and it was dropped off super quick and the hosts were wonderful! Location is private with a beautiful view!”
