9.4/10 Exceptional! (499 reviews)
We stayed here for three nights and overall had a pleasant stay. Our room was a modern, spacious first-floor room at the front of the property, and it was spotlessly clean.
There were a few small downsides. The bathroom had a handheld shower over the bath rather than a separate walk-in shower, which was a little disappointing, although it was perfectly usable. The in-room coffee supplies were quite limited, but the coffee served at breakfast was excellent and definitely made up for it!
The bed was a little firmer than I would have liked, and the duvet seemed a bit small for the size of the bed.
My biggest issue was the noise. The hotel is in the heart of the busy nightlife area, surrounded by pubs and clubs, and unfortunately the soundproofing wasn’t great. Even with earplugs, I struggled to get a good night’s sleep.
Breakfast was fairly basic but had everything you need to start the day, and the staff in the breakfast room were exceptionally friendly and welcoming, which was a real highlight.
Overall, it’s a clean, modern hotel in a fantastic central location. If you’re planning to enjoy the nightlife, it’s ideal. However, if you’re a light sleeper, it’s worth requesting a room away from the front of the hotel or bringing good earplugs.
