"The villa was lovely and clean had everything we needed , 5 friends staying , bedrooms were a decent size , was a bit cold to get much use out of the pool, unfortunately, dog next door does bark when you go past but stops when out of sight, so not an issue for us! Bus stop a 10 minute walk away into Lisbon. "

"We booked the house primarily for two reasons: the outdoor area and the 6-room capacity for our large mixed-age group. Unfortunately, in summer, the house is a 5-bedroom, as one windowless bedroom is locked, and the 2 upstairs bedrooms get oppressively hot.The outdoor areas were great and the host tried to fix the many issues we had during our stay, but fundamentally, the house, beds, furniture, tableware and appliances are old and all areas are cluttered with some cupboards full of personal effects.We had several issues, including a repeatedly flooding toilet, mild electric shocks from the built-in fryer, a non-functioning washing machine (which was replaced), kitchen and bar fridges unable to stay cool, taps coming off, slow wifi with poor coverage, daily bird excrement due to nests in the eaves and unvacuumed bedframes with a suspected bed-bug skeleton.Given the issues we had and, more importantly, the lack of the advertised sixth bedroom, I requested a discount. In response, I received a very personal criticism that we broke items and spent too much time at the house rather than the beach, which resulted in increased electricity and pool chemical bills. Not what I expected given the friendly welcome we had and the 1000 per night price tag."

"Loved this place. Very clean and great staff. A desk clerk spent about 45 minutes one evening helping my husband with a parking ticket we got in Evora - we know no Portuguese! Also received a great massage. "

"We enjoyed our stay. The house was as pictured - it was beautiful and clean. We enjoyed spending evenings on the patio.We spend time in the National Park and at the Setabul coastline. It was beautiful.The host was very responsive to questions throughout the process."

"We returned to the villa so we knew what we were getting. The views are absolutely spectacular and no photo fully does them justice. Ana who manages the house is great and made the check in and departure very easy. Ana also arranged for local ladies to come in and cook Portuguese food, which was amazing. I would higly recommend the property as a place.from which to explore the lovely beaches nearby. The food is well equipped and there's lots of space for coffee, reading, eating, BBQ, table tennis,swimming and drinks. The upper roof terrace is a great place for sunset drinks and the view towards Lisbon is wonderful. There's also easy access.to a local supermarket. Great place for large group."

"It's a hostel. When you go inside, there are very strange smells. All night someone was arguing, probably workers live in the hostel. noise from the road."

"With the farm area surrounded by a big wall and gate, the property feels quiet and secure. The "farm" itself is not a busy working area and you are unaware of anything going on. The owners met us when we arrived and took the opportunities to check everything was alright when our paths crossed but otherwise we didn't see them. The swimming pool was a massive 12m x 6m, spotless and cleaned and treated regularly and was very welcome at 40C. Things to be aware of are that the villa does not have air conditioning but it does have shutters all around to keep the sun out. Additionally the WiFi was slow and there was no TV - totally welcome and not a problem in our case but it might impact some people."
