There are lots of things to see and do in Costa Adeje, but venture farther afield and you'll find even more magic. Pick up a set of wheels and you can explore the surrounding region at your leisure. Add these fantastic places to your to-do list:

• San Bartolome de Tirajana is around 70 miles from Costa Adeje. Popular tourist spots like Palmitos Park should be at the top of your list while you're in town.
• Next stop? It has to be Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, which is around 80 miles away. San Telmo Park is one local highlight you shouldn't miss.
• Spend time in the outdoors and inhale the fresh air at Sotavento de Jandia Beach. You'll find it approximately 150 miles from Costa Adeje.

If you don't hold a driver's license issued in Spain, then you might need to apply for an International Driving Permit (IDP) in your place of residence in order to rent a car. It's also important to note that if you do need an IDP, it won't be valid on its own. You'll be asked to show your current license your passport and other forms of identification as well. Lastly, it's important that the credit card you used to book the rental matches the name on your driver's license and passport. Some additional requirements to rent a car internationally are:
