"Unfortunately, we were pretty disappointed in this property. It wasn't very clean, there were spider webs everywhere. The host noted that they come back every night, but it is very obvious that they have not been taken care of in a long time. The fence was broken and the pictures of the back area were pretty misleading. We got locked out of the house on the first evening due to an unknown keypad failure. The host was kind and willing to come let us in, but it still sucked that there wasn't a way to get back in the house - no garage code or spare key. We had an infant and two toddlers outside for an hour at night with no way in. When we were leaving and completing the checkout items, we stripped the beds to find massive urine stains and blood stain. It was awful. We bought food to grill but the grill was disgusting and had pineapples still rotting on the grates. So we cooked in a skillet instead. Lastly, the AC kept turning up to 76-78 every hour or so throughout the night and we had restless nights of it getting extremely hot and having to readjust it over and over. Overall, it really just felt like this rental gets bare minimum attention and definitely not what we expected when paying nearly 1100. We would have preferred a hotel by far. "
"Great place to celebrate my son’s 19th birthday with family and friends! Loved having the dock access so we could keep our boat in the water during our stay. Scott was very attentive host and addressed any questions or concerns that we had. Thank you Scott for making this a great weekend to get away with the kids before school starts back. Our first time to Lake Granbury and won’t be our last!"

"WOW!From the moment we walked in the front door our breath was taken away. The view out the huge windows was so beautiful. Plenty of room for a big family to spread out. This house is within 8-15 min from everything. We had an amazing vacation and are already talking about booking this exact same house again next year! "

"It was a horrible experience trying to get a hold of the property manager and getting checked in the address was wrong. It took us forever to get to the correct property. we had a late check in and the property manager finally got a hold of me after 8 o’clock that night trying to get information from you and the property manager was not great again a very horrible experience trying to get checked in."

"Visiting relatives in pecan plantation with kids and dogs. It was a short distance there and right on lake Granbury. Water was deep and nice to swim and fish in. Enjoyed grilling out on the patio. "

"Spent four days here with adult children and friends. The house is amazing! Spacious with plenty of room for all including several bathrooms. Gated with lots of parking out front, television in every room, and the host family put out several welcoming treats. The back patio is nicely shaded, we sat out there alot and enjoyed the birds and lake views. Air conditioning kept the house at 68 degrees the entire time. It's a good walk down to the dock with several steps (50) but they are layed out in a switchback fashion to cut down on fatigue. The dock and jetski were a highlight for everyone with plenty of gas ready to go. We would happily stay here again."
"We’ve never been to Lake Granbury before and were delighted to find this lovely lake house. The main house was clean, roomy and well set up for our large group of family and friends, with 4 small children. The fenced back yard helped give the kids an area they could play without accidentally getting too close to the water. (But it opens to the driveway, not fully enclosed.). Having the boat ramp right next door was very convenient and made launching and loading a lot easier.We had an enjoyable stay and spent time on the lake and in the town. The grocery store is very close and accessible, and there are plenty of other stores in town for anything you forgot to bring.We love this property and plan to return in the future for another lake vacation."

"We were in town for a baseball tournament and had a lot of downtime with three teenagers. Everything was perfect. Great clean spacious house with room for everyone to spread out. Lots of activities for kids to do on property. Very relaxing for the adults. We would definitely stay here again. "

"Our family was looking for a property to stay in while we visited family in DeCordova Bend Estates for the Thanksgiving holiday. Birdsong Cottage is ideally located and was a the perfect property to accommodate our time in Granbury. The house is located on a quiet, private road with amazing views and was well stocked with all the necessary amenities. The host was wonderful to work with, very responsive and willing to accommodate all of our needs. I highly recommend a stay at Birdsong during your next visit to the area."

"I’ve never stayed in a cabin before, but needed to stay close by as our home was being built. This was a great cabin experience and really a fun place! Very clean and host is very responsive. We had a lot of fun there! Our sons came to visit and loved it. Think next time we will rent the big cabin along with this one in the spring. "
