Very good hotel Excellent location Very clean

The main idea of getting a hotel is to sleep well. That didn’t happen at Costanero. The main reason why is because we got a beach view room and the window provides very little sound insulation from the rambla below. Every loud car, motorcycle and people was heard inside the room and the rambla was our alarm clock at 7am sharp every morning. This is not to take away from the beautiful view. The view of Pocitos beach was very beautiful. Beds showed sign of age, with edges being significantly higher than the rest of the mattress. I was not able to sleep comfortably throughout the entire mattress. Where the mattress did feel good was towards the center, and the support was excellent for my hips and side there. Additional annoyances include extremely small trash cans in the room. For reference, my grande Starbucks cup essentially filled the entire trash bin. No water kettle. We also discovered by accident that the floors were dirty by laying down a wet towel on the floor and eventually seeing the other side of the towel. This probably means that the room cleaning is superficial at best. $30usd / day for breakfast per person is almost insulting. On the positive side, the Toto bidet was a very nice and rare addition. We sincerely appreciated it. Showers were excellent with strong water pressure and good water temperature (we like it hot!). The fellows at the front desk were all very nice and provided excellent customer service when called upon.

I got to the hotel super early and I acknowledged that when I got to the front desk. The recpetionst guy was like yeah… and had a “you’re kidding if you wanna check in early” attitude until I told him I’ll pay for early check-in. He then told me my room wasn’t ready so I was like are there any others available that are ready? He told me it’s a twin room. I was only gonna be there for one day so I literally didn’t care. Plus I had been up since 4AM and just wanted to get into a room. Early check-in was $30 but came with breakfast so that was good. The breakfast itself wasn’t great, but at least it was something. The room itself was fine, but the bathroom was TINY. Also, interesting choice to use all wood for the bathroom including the entirety of the shower?? At least the receptionist at check out was nice and helpful when I had to store my luggage. It was fine for a one night stopover and this hotel is close to the mall, but I probably wouldn’t stay here again.
