We were a family of 3 and the property served a purpose for us. The location is amazing, just close enough to be able to walk to and from all the major attractions. Mario at the accommodation is such a gentleman and cannot do enough to help. You tell him your plans, and what you want to do and where you’re going, he’ll help and point out everything you need to see on the way.

Mario is such an amazing host. He gave such good suggestions to activities, food and tips that only locals know. The place was conveniently located to all the walking areas. Most people thing being next to Colosseum is ideal, but this place is perfect walking distance to shopping, food, and all the other sites you would want to see.

The property was in a good location, walking distance to Trevi fountain and other historic center locations, as well as coffee bars (Gino's was great), restaurants, and mini-markets. Unfortunately our room had some issues taking away from the experience. When we checked in, half the shower door was missing and the cover for the toilet flushing mechanism was missing. We reported it to the staff and after a couple days they were able to add a shower curtain that at least stopped the water from spraying all over the floor and replaced the cover. The property has potential, but it needs a little more TLC.

We had a very pleasant stay at Basilio55. The central location is a big highlight – many of Rome’s main attractions are within walking distance, which made exploring the city easy and enjoyable. Mario was especially friendly and helpful throughout our stay. He was always available for questions and gave us great tips, which we really appreciated. The accommodation was clean and well-equipped. Overall, we would definitely recommend Basilio55 to anyone looking for a comfortable and conveniently located place to stay in Rome.

Location is great as it’s a block away from the metro, but the room we stayed in was a crap show. The shower door was broken, the power kept going out and it wasn’t very clean. The staff is not very helpful and they’re hardly at the front desk.

Basilio 55 is a great find in the heart of Rome. From the moment we arrived, everything was just perfect – the staff, and the service. The location is amazing – a lovely place to relax and enjoy a good rest after going outside after discovering the city of Rome. I had a great experience from beginning to end. highly recommended, and we would definitely return on our next trip to Rome.

The hotel was so convenient to get to any major tourist spot in Rome. It was right next to the Metro station, only two stops from the termini or the central train station where you can get to the airport by two 30 (14 euro) or 60 mins (8 euro) trains. It was right across Hilton, so you know how good the location can be.

Good location, central to walk to all of the big spots. Mario was friendly and helpful with restaurant recommendations. This property is not what it was advertised as. Won’t stay here again. There was no breakfast even though it was advertised as having it. Our shower did not work properly, toilet seat was broken. Bathroom door wouldn’t close all the way.

Overall we had a good stay here. Nice hosts, good location. Accommodation was clean, nice big bed but was a littke tired in areas and not the best shower. It had a fridge but no kettle for making hot drinks which was a shame. We enjoyed our stay and had a fantastic visit to Rome.

Great staff and a good location. Need to be fit as there is only a very small lift so we tended to use the spiral staircase.Decor needs upgrading and the lighting in one of our rooms was poor but a good price for the location we were in.

Had a wonderful three night stay. Our host, Mario, was extremely helpful in navigating us on the hat to see, how to get there and where to eat. Cafe next door was terrific and we were walking distance to Trevi Fountain and Spanish Steps. There is a Metro Station right down the block that connects to the Vatican and Termini Station. Very convenient!!

The room was perfect. The bed was really nice. Service from Mario was great. He gave us some great tips on how to get by in the city. Room was small but clean and the bed was comfortable. There was some mold on the shower tile and the shower drain was slow but otherwise very nice and met our needs. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Location was fantastic with easy access to shops, restaurants and metro. Would recommend.
