We had a very pleasant 5-night stay. The hotel is in a great location, and the staff was friendly, helpful, and welcoming. Overall, we had no complaints and would definitely stay again.
The only issue was the extra twin bed for our 12-year-old daughter. It was a chair that converted into a bed, with a mattress on top that was actually larger than the chair itself. She fell off several times during the night, so for safety, we eventually placed the mattress on the floor. I would suggest the hotel consider improving this type of bed, especially for children or older guests.
The Hotel Verona was a great place to stay the staff was amazing and the location was great! The hotel was clean and accommodating when we got there before checking they allowed us to leave our bags. The only issue we had was the air conditioning was not so great but it was do-able.
Our room was a triple, and it was big and roomy! Much bigger than what we were expecting. There was a full size bed and a twin, along with an oversized chair, desk, coffee table, and mini fridge.
The hotel staff were great, and always greeted us. The hotel was in a central location, right by the Papal Basilica of Saint Mary Major Basilica Papale di Santa Maria Maggiore (which is beautiful, by the way).
The hotel was a 15 minute walk to the colosseum, about a 20 minute walk to Trevi Fountain, 15 minute walk to Termi Station. Lots of cafes and shops nearby. We couldn’t have picked a more central location.
We didn’t have breakfast at the hotel, so we can’t speak to that. But if you’re looking for a clean, central, and safe hotel, this is a great choice! Would stay here again.
We have stayed here every time we’ve come to Rome over the years—lovely, welcoming staff, good rooms and perfect location for us—we can walk to the places we love.
Room was a bit small for a family with kids but otherwise fine. Great location, very walkable. Loved the shower.
