The location is excellent.
If this is your first time in Rome, I really recommend it.
The Vatican area is safe to walk around at night, and there are plenty of places to eat.
The service was good, and the room was small but big enough for three.
I'll definitely be back.
Clean and well-maintained, it's also very close to the Vatican City and various stores. Convenient location for the Metro and other bus stops. Alda was very nice and friendly!
Location was perfect and Alda was wonderful! Highly recommend!!

Liked: Cleanliness, amenities
Very comfortable, clean with easy access to restaurants and transportation. Staff was very friendly and easy to contact with WhatsApp or your booking app.
We liked our stay at Stefano House. It's kind of a funky little hotel that was very centrally located for our stay in Rome. The walls of the Vatican are right across the street - you can't get much closer than that! The room was immaculately clean. This was advertised as a room for 3 people but the larger bed would have been very "cozy" for 2 people and the smaller bed, which was about a foot off the floor, would have been okay for a child but my son - who was definitely not a child - slept in it. He didn't say that the bed was uncomfortable, so I guess he slept okay. The larger bed was very comfortable.
The building has a great elevator once you figure out how to work it, so you don't have to lug bags up the stairs.
The building is kind of a mystery from the front - one has to look a bit before you realize that the hotel is actually in the building. The one downside of our stay was that there is a cafe directly in front of the building, which was directly below our 1st floor window. We had the window open at night and got a lot of noise from below until about 2 a.m. Not a lot you can do about that - shutting the window didn't block out the noise.
I appreciated the prompt communications I received from the hotel staff. My son checked us in, so I never did have any direct contact with the hotel staff, but we texted and were able to get questions answered, check out, etc. Both of us would stay there again, but maybe on a higher floor.
I have stayed at Stefano House more than once, and every time it feels like my home in Rome. Esmeralda is the truly star of the crown, always attentive, kind, friendly and incredibly helpful. The place is safe, comfortable ,clean and perfectly located right across the Vatican, close to everything and surrounded by a variety of restaurants. I will definitely return to Rome , and without a doubt , stay here again
I had an excellent experience thanks to Esmeralda's outstanding support and assistance. She was incredibly helpful and even accompanied me to the metro, at the end of her shift, to ensure I wouldn't get lost. Her dedication and kindness made my stay much easier.
