We stayed overnight and it was lovely . The food was excellent and the staff were great . It's a lovely building in alovely location . Could do without the dogs in the restaurant though .would definitely stay again.

Great stay, very relaxing hotel. All the staff were friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the food so ate the restaurant all 3 nights of our stay. Good selection of drinks at the bar too. Very dog friendly. 30 minutes away from Delamere forest which was great for shady dog walks.

Our room was beautiful. Very spacious and clean. All staff very pleasant apart from one waitress in the restaurant who looked very unhappy and clearly didn’t want to be there. We were celebrating my daughter’s birthday so there was quite a few of us to be served. Service with a smile there was not! Breakfast was not brilliant. My husband and I had the full English which was served to us looking and tasting as though it had been on a hot plate for quite some time. Would not recommend. There was also tissue paper shredded on the floor at the table next to us which was a bit off putting but the staff were really pleasant and polite. Lovely hotel but a bit lacking in certain aspects. The food we felt was rather expensive for what was served.
