Mountain Haven is the perfect honeymoon cabin! This adorable log cabin is located close to Unicoi State Park and tucked away in the woods for complete privacy and relaxation.

Throw some steaks or hamburgers on the propane grill and then take a well-deserved nap. For your evening entertainment, if the weather is cool, snuggle up in front of the wood-burning fireplace and sip on some of Northeast Georgia's local wine.

We're sure you won't, but if you get tired of being in the tranquility of the woods, Alpine Helen is just a 15-minute drive away for a fun day of shopping, playing mini-golf, or trying one of many delicious restaurants. If you want some more adventurous water fun, visit the Helen Water Park or go tubing on the famous Chattahoochee which winds its way through Alpine Helen.

For outdoor enthusiasts, you will be in an area full of hiking trails and waterfalls. Visit spectacular Anna Ruby Falls and Unicoi State Park for a great day out, or try horseback riding at the nearby Sunburst Stables. There is never a shortage of fun things to do in and around Helen. Whatever time of year, you will find something going on; Fall boasts Helen's exciting Oktoberfest season and the Christmas season is a Christmas to remember in Helen's Alpine winter wonderland.

Honeymoon getaway
Our honeymoon getaway was wonderful. Very relaxing, went into Helen on Saturday to have lunch. Made steaks on the grill that night. Everything was clean and cozy. It rained Saturday night so the rain on the tin roof was extra relaxing. Overall it was a nice getaway would've loved to stay longer.

I hate having to do this, but I can’t seem to find the actual house that vrbo/ cabin rentals of Helen put us in. We were suppose to stay at this location but something happened with the previous renter (totally understandable) and they called 1 hour upon arrival on check in day saying this and said we were being “upgraded” compliments of the owners(or company). We arrived to the “upgrade” and were very disappointed considering it seemed to be vacant for some time, there was a smell, also it was massive. It had multiple bedrooms, 3 floors, very very big. My wife and I were excited due to this was our first getaway alone with each other since we have had our toddler. So cozy, small and nice was what we wanted, found and paid for. We wish wish wish we could’ve stayed in what we picked but we understand something happened. I called upon arriving to the not so “upgrade” of a cabin. They said that it was “all they had” and we were out of luck. I simply just made the best of the situation at the end of the day, but we were not happy about how vrbo/cabin rentals of Helen handled our situation. We won’t be using them again, due to the fact they never called on behalf of me messaging them on the issues we had that I have not stated in this review. Again, I apologize to leave such a harsh review on a house we didn’t even stay in but vrbo will not let me on the actual house they put us in.

Nice, Quiet Cabin close to Helen, Ga.
The cabin's location is excellent, easily accessible. However, the photos appear to have been made when the cabin was newly furnished, and the furnishings need to be replaced, especially the reclining sofa, chair cushions, and bed covering. There is also a damp, musty odor which needs to be addressed. We did enjoy our stay in the area though.

This cabin was exactly what my bestie and I were looking for! Rustic, cute, centrally located with a hot tub! We felt safe during the entire stay and appreciated the ease of entry upon getting in later than expected night 1. The bed was so comfortable that we slept in each morning just enjoying the relaxation. The hot tub was definitely appreciated after each day of strenuous hiking. Although other cabins are placed on the same road, we never heard any disturbances or even noticed that they were there. You truly feel like you’re in your own little part of the woods.

The overall experience was fantastic. From the property, location, and the short drive to helen. We really enjoyed our stay. Only bad thing to say was the hot tub not working. They communicated with us through trying to get it fixed but it was on the weekend and i can only assume difficult to get a tech out to fix. But i do recommend to anyone and we will stay with them again.

This is the cutest cabin! It was perfect for the two of us for the weekend. We enjoyed sitting outside on the screened porch and relaxing. It was clean and had everything we needed. It is in a quiet neighborhood. Would stay here again.

Great stay.
We originally booked a cabin, but a week before our trip the rental company called to tell us the hottub went down at that property. It was one of the main things I was looking forward too. So, the agent switched us to another cabin with a working hottub. The process was simple and east. Cabin was clean and nice. The only complaint I would have is that it needs more lighting. Besides that everything else was great. Pretty close to town, and a quiet location.

The hot tub was temporarily out of service although I was not aware of this until I had already paid. It was snot mentioned in the main details only underneath the picture individually which I felt should have been a main detail as it would have helped our decision to stay or not. The home itself was clean and in a good area, no issues. The bed linens did not seem washed or smell clean and the bed was hard to sleep on as it concaved in the middle. I feel like that was my only complaint other than that it was a great cabin.

We loved the rustic beauty of the cabin, the pine walls and ceiling were gorgeous! The location was great, and we lucked out on the weather and the timing for seeing the fall colors. I felt like it could use a deep cleaning as there was a musty smell and the mini blinds and light fixtures had a layer of dust & grime on them. The furniture/decor/bedding was adequate, but would benefit from being updated and refreshed. The appliances are old and outdated. The kitchen and bathroom are on the small side, but were manageable considering we didn't do any cooking, we just ate breakfast and snack foods. The kitchen could definitely use a light above the sink, it was too dark at night. It was nice having a private hot tub on the screened-in deck, but when we went to use it, the temperature was only 64 degrees. We were able to raise the temp, but it was our last night there when we planned to get in, so we didn't get to use it at all. I think this could be a really great place to stay if a few changes were made. Overall though, we enjoyed our stay very much.
