This home is in a quiet centrally located urban neighborhood with a Walk Score of 95\. There is a sense of calm as you walk through the front door. We are excited to offer this home as a full house rental especially since the Central District rarely has properties that are larger than 2 bedrooms. Past guests of Spring Street Center may remember the high marks for cleanliness and prompt communication when it was rented by the room so we are thrilled that the same cleaning team will continue to caretake the property as a full home rental. We look forward to welcoming you to Seattle! Additional Comments: This home has a private entrance, but is attached to the Subud community center Chapel and meeting hall. Subud has small group meetings on Tuesday mornings from 9:30am -12:30pm, Tuesday evenings from 7:00pm - 8:30pm (downstairs hall - no access to the shared bathroom) and on Saturday and Sunday mornings 9:30am -1:30pm. Please be aware that the only shared space during the Tuesday, Saturday and Sunday morning services is the main floor bathroom. NOTE: As long as the kitchen door remains locked, there is no access to the home. Rental Guests can choose to maintain privacy at all times by not using the main floor bathroom. The location: Located only 1.1 miles from downtown, but in a quiet neighborhood with a park and playground across the street and close to wonderful restaurants and easy access to grocery stores. The host insisted the spots were just mosquito bites and the bedding was just torn. We researched that bites can continue to show up hours and days after being bitten and what bedding looks like if it has bed bugs and the bedding looked similar. We evacuated half way through our trip. It was very inconvenient as we had to run all our clothing through the dryer to ensure we did not bring any bugs home and that we did not take any to the second location that we moved to. We incurred expenses from moving to another location and did not finish out entire stay at this location. The time we spent on this detracted from our short visit in Seattle. The host was not understanding as she had originally asked me for photos of the bites and bedding, but hen I sent her a few more pictures of the bites, she e-mailed that "it was not necessary for me to continue to send her pictures of the bites." The situation was unfortunate. I hope that the location is treated for bugs so that no one has to experience what we went through. Parking was a bit of a challenge at times, but we got the hang of it! Karen, the owner/manager went above and beyond to answer any and all questions and make everything work for us. Nice park across the street and central to our needs including coffee shops. The awkwardness of the second bathroom use didn't impact us as it appeared the were no meetings during our stay; perhaps because of the July stay. The parking pass was very helpful. Air conditioned with a great kitchen and terrific laundry. The outside small patio is perfect for two and no morning sun….only sunny in late afternoon. Lovely, quiet neighborhood. Only issue we encountered was access to parking, which was very limited. A couple times we searched a couple streets nearby for a spot. We did end up getting an 80 parking ticket for parking too near a line by the b&b. The house was within walking distance of many shops and restaurants. We loved the seattle vibe. The neighbourhood was very quiet. It was a lovely stay. Many shops, restaurants, parks within easy walking distance. Karen is a gracious host. While the house was not super updated, it had plenty of room. We appreciated the fully stocked kitchen, especially being able to make coffee after a late arrival on our first night. There was plenty of space for our family to be together and we managed the shared bathroom without any issues. The house was chilly, but we did not have access to the thermostat.
