The public areas were a bit dark and gloomy. The bedroom was hot and stuffy even with the windows open. Some furniture was quite old fashioned but the bed was comfortable enough. The food was OK but lacked better wine choices. The breakfast was a bit too greasy. Staff were friendly and helpful.

We had a very pleasant stay in this quiet village and admirable pub. The staff were very helpful and thoughtful. The place was obviously well-cared for but perhaps starting to show a wee bit of wear and tear here and there.

Was a little further from Selkirk than expected/noticed at booking but was worth the extra miles. Bus didn’t stop so had to book a taxi from Selkirk. The hotel was helpful and offered to come pick us up if needed! Food at dinner and breakfast was excellent.

What a gem! Arrived in time for dinner and had a great meal. Staff were friendly, helpful and welcoming. Our family room was clean and spacious with the beds made in a king and two singles configuration. The plug in fan a welcome addition during the heatwave. Tea/coffee and biscuits on offer in the room. Breakfast was delicious with a great assortment of cereals, white/seeded breads and preserves and various cooked options.

The Crosskeys Inn is a perfect example of a local pub providing accomodations to a very high standard while remaining true to its original purpose as a village pub. Very clean, food was excellent, friendly staff and folk music in the bar, it's hard to see how they can improve.
