"The staff were delightful and very professional, breakfast was very good, hotel in a convenient location, other guests were well-behaved (sadly not always the case these days!)"

"Hotel was cute and in a great location. Our only negative was that although our bed was large it was uncomfortable and could use an updating. Staff were very friendly! "

"Loved staying at Cross Inn! Stayed one night while going through Lewis and Harris and it was exactly what we needed. Quiet and comfortable bed and breakfast and perfect location. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a great place to stay while in Lewis!"

"The place was clean and tidy, and the owner was very kind. But until I arrived I had no idea that the room did not have its own bathroom.
Sandwick Bay was OK, but pretty limited.
However Stornoway is a very limited place. No restaurants as such, Even the chippies shut at 8.
Lewis has a lot going for it - north, west and south.
Stornoway is the obvious place to stay - but is not much fun."

"A really friendly team at the hotel and great breakfast was included. However the property is a bit dated and seemed pricy for what we had. The rooms have a 1980's feel to them. For location it's beautiful, set next to a Loch and handy to visit the near by attractions of the Broch and Blackhouse villlage. "

"We had a good sleep in the comfortable king size bed. The place is unassuming from the outside as front door is a step off the sidewalk/pavement. However, the inside has been renovated and has a separate dining room and sitting room. Very comfortable for a B&B. To find parking on side street in the afternoon was challenging as location is literally one block from centre of Stornoway. Evening parking was easier. Really liked the convenience of not needing to drive and walk to shops, restaurants...

"Spacious house in a beautiful location with a beach and lots of nice scenery nearby. The house was comfortable to stay in. Callum was extremely helpful, friendly and accommodating. He had lots of recommendations for exploring the island and was very welcoming. "
"A very comfortable room . Beautifully decorated. All little extras provided. Nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was excellent. We ate an evening meal in the pub which was also very good . Happily stay there again ."
"The welcome by Linda was warm and personable and even though I arrived a bit early, my room was ready. I stayed in a single twin bed, it was comfortable and there was plenty of space for luggage, etc.
The bathroom was newly renovated and the tiles and fixtures are top quality--best shower in Scotland!
Well stocked coffee & tea station--specialty herbal teas and hot coco!
Breakfast was delicious with a multitude of options. If you want porridge order the night before.
It is a bit out of the center but very walkable. Great 3-day stay! Will definitely return!!!"
